BUFFALO: F.B.I. CORRUPTION INQUIRY
F.B.I. agents yesterday searched the desks and lockers of five police
detectives as part of a corruption investigation that has already led to
the arrest of five other detectives. Agents also executed search warrants
at three of the officers' homes, Police Commissioner Rocco Diina said. The
Buffalo News, citing unidentified police sources, said agents were looking
in the homes for evidence linking the officers to drugs. Mr. Diina said the
recent arrests should not reflect negatively on the rest of the department.
