JUMPING TO LEGALISE POT
A LEGALISE cannabis campaigner planning to take part in a sponsored
parachute jump is hoping the experience will be like astral travelling.
Patman Denning, who is wheelchair-bound with Multiple Sclerosis and was a
Legalise Cannabis Alliance candidate at this year's general election, is
intending to do the jump to raise funds to help legalise marijuana.
"I have been wanting to do this since I was a kid and I was going to do it
as a teenager," said Patman, who has never even been in a plane before.
"I'm going in the air and will be flying like a bird - it will be superb",
he said.
"I don't know what it will be like going up in a plane and not coming back
again.
"I've flown with the birds before when I was astral travelling. It happens
when you are dreaming.
"I fly over houses and I sometimes get as far as Brickhill Woods and fly back.
"It's weird but a nice experience."
Patman, aged 37 years, says cannabis helps relieve him from suffering from
MS and can help people suffering from a number of other illnesses.
He needs to raise about UKP 300 to take part in the jump and is asking for
donations so he can take part.
Patman is also looking for sponsorship to pledge money to one or more of
the Medical Marijuana Co-Operative, Legalise Cannabis Alliance and the Free
Medical Marijuana Foundation.
A parachuting expert told the Citizen that Patman would be able to take
part in the jump if he gains permission from a doctor.
Anyone who would like to sponsor Patman can contact him by phoning MK 366246
