MEAN CARTOON

Editor:

Having spent the last eight weeks with a terminally ill family member, your
cartoon published on Aug. 26 in reference to hospice was very offensive.
(The cartoon showed police officers raiding a hospice because they
suspected the patients of using marijuana to ease their suffering.)

Obviously, this cartoonist is not aware of the marvelous services that are
rendered by this organization.

I can confirm the excellent care the nursing staff provides.

As a reader of your paper for the past 40 years I am dismayed that you
would allow this hideously offensive material to be published.
