IT ALL STARTS IN SCHOOLS
This war on terrorism is going to be won by brains, technology and skills.
The best weapons we will have in the coming years will be the brains,
technology and skills of those who are now in school.
Young people can fight terrorism now by getting the best education they
can. If you are smart, it is no longer "cool" to just get by. You must
excel. If you are not smart, your country needs you to finish school and
learn a useful skill. You might not be able to design a computer, but you
can learn to operate or repair one.
Remember also that a drugged and crime-ridden society is just what the
enemy wants. Kids who take drugs can't learn. If our soldiers and police
are fighting in the drug war, they can't be fighting in the terrorist war.
A patriotic citizen, adult or child, shouldn't even think about taking
drugs. This is war and drugs are a weapon of war.
Flying a flag is easy. Real patriotism is not.
