MARIJUANA: WHY WASTE MONEY?

I was dismayed to read the Sept. 27 article about the man charged
with growing 13 marijuana plants in the basement of his Waukesha
home. Not only was the possible four and a half year prison sentence
for growing an illegal plant absurd, but the timing seems shameful as
well.

Using valuable law enforcement, court and correctional resources to
investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute and finally imprison an
apparently harmless 39-year-old American citizen is a waste we
taxpayers don't need to be putting up with right now.

If it were up to me, I would just let people grow the plant. Then we
can worry about the real enemies who actually do want to kill us, not
fake enemies conjured up for political gain.
