NEEDLE EXCHANGE IS JUST A START
Many people were out of work and homeless in years gone by, but they
didn't urinate or defecate in public. The homeless and addicted in
today's society have no pride.
Yes, we need affordable homes and more mental health facilities. We
also need to eliminate the drug trafficking that is blatantly going on
downtown. Perhaps the needle exchange is sending the wrong message,
that it's OK to be injecting drugs as long as you use clean needles.
Perhaps the money that is going into the needle exchange should be
going to support addiction centres.
Why aren't the police arresting and charging the drug traffickers? Are
they simply turning a blind eye, or is it because we need more officers?
