THANKS FOR BRINGING ALCOHOL ABUSE ISSUE OUT IN OPEN
I cannot imagine a better way for a community newspaper to serve the
citizens of Edmond than what you have done to educate and inform us about
the deadly and unseen epidemic of drugs and alcohol in our schools.
The series, "A Stranger In The House," is so very well researched and
written. My congratulations to reporter James Coburn and the management
staff at The Edmond Sun that made the decision to publish this series.
We so desperately need to bring this subject out in the open so that it can
be dealt with effectively.
I am so hopeful that the good people of Edmond will support the forum you
have arranged at the City Chambers at 7 p.m. Tuesday. As a concerned
citizen, I hope that I am joined by others who would be willing to serve
the city of Edmond and its school system in fighting our local drug war.
Where do I enlist?
