DRUG WAR MAKES FOR SOME STRANGE BEDFELLOWS

I agree with the author of the letter, "Government, not drug users,
supported terror," (AC-T, Oct. 16) and the informed citizens not buying all
the bunk about patriotism and drugs.

Our elected (officials) moved to enact mandatory sentencing, forfeiture,
and intensified surveillance measures in America when they would do well to
watch the bloodsuckers hiding behind "spook" anonymity overseas. The U.S.
government and/or representatives cannot continue to make deals with
foreign entities allowing drugs to flow.

It has been alleged "we" allow drug flow as a means of financing purchases
of a variety of military and consumer goods/services and also as support of
a clandestine banking system of "waiting to be laundered" drug cash used in
the legitimate money pipeline. The American people are crying out for
Congress to solve problems most in their ranks support. The answer lies
only in new leadership. Until that day we will chase our tail.
