USA CAN'T STEM ENTRY OF DRUGS
As I read the screaming front-page announcement on Oct. 7 regarding "Crack,
the enduring crisis" and the follow-up on Oct. 8 revealing the fact that
one in four Brevard teens is affected by drug use, I am really concerned
and wonder about our national security.
For how many years has this outrageous activity flourished in spite of our
security, including the Coast Guard, border guards at every entry point
into the United States and all the electronic surveillance capabilities we
have in use?
This massive volume of drugs is getting into our country by the boat loads,
train loads, plane loads and carloads. It is destroying our society,
including our young folks, all in the name of greed, by organized criminals
who could care less about our country and our kids.
Some officials obviously are not doing their job. Because we apparently are
unable to control this curse on our nation, how are we ever going to stop
any further terrorist strikes?
