PROHIBITION CLAIMS LIVES
The recent death of a police officer in Montreal during a drug raid
is a reminder of similar deaths in alcohol-related raids before the
government of the day wisely chose to legalize alcohol, realizing the
futility of trying to ban it.
It is a basic of capitalism -- supply will increase to meet demand.
Legalization, with a heavy tax and regulation to help control the
fallout, is the solution.
History repeats itself but we never learn.
