Posted by » soyfunk on Wed May 19, 2004 @ 11:59pm word! after my three day of walking from the rideau center (ottawa) all the way to fucken kingston along the rideau canal (what a rip off) and along the rideau river (das was reel)... das righ'... warrior shit right der; i checked into a hostel in toronto. in the morning (gosh was checking into a hostel worth it!!!) i meet this dude named ?ouis who's name was also Sam after i introduced myself as Sam... whatevers i was taking care of the blisters on my feet and this dude showed me all his fake passport making secrets (american, brittish and the hardest one of them all.. canadian). i ditched him and this dude that shared the same room; a dude with some real issues. can't believe the story that got him into this state of constant depression.... YEAH so i ditched Louis without a goodbye and slept at Victors galaXy until Sebastien galaKsy drops by toronto. i then left toronto with 50cents and my journey begins... TADDADDAAAHHH!! [picture of me on Victors porch and the notorious walking stick from coaticook] |

Posted by » soyfunk on Mon Jun 27, 2005 @ 2:57am just one of the abundant wonders and delightfull surprises from holgas kitchen. #1 gourmet picnik sandwich made with the finest grandville island ingredients on a hill with vancouvers downtown as the backdrop. 2# if you look closely enough it's exposed over lucy 'tunneling' her red sweater around her head... errr yeah. this photo totally says " TAAADAAAHH!! " |
Posted by » Because on Mon Jul 30, 2007 @ 10:26pm those were just the flaps of our tent, you moron. now quit your flapjackin. Posted by » soyfunk on Mon Aug 29, 2005 @ 2:53pm another ones of those holga mysteries... where did those two black blocks comes from on the sides? are they elements that i failed to notice as i marvelled at the heavenly glory and focused so hard to capture onto film?! that fruicake who comes up with the best asumption gets a carebear sticker. jk! just imagine how great it would be like in a day of sam soyfunk. this photograph is examplary. so true so true. >>> actually i figured out that when i took out the brakets to enable the 6"x6" exposure, the batteries would loosen and expose, masking out part of the borders. cool. |

Posted by » soyfunk on Sun Dec 31, 2006 @ 6:03am my Om Monkgol playing a cambodian mandolin sort of instrument. he rocks the chinese old style pants in honor to our chinese ancestry. see the family resemblance? hah >>> that's racist. what if i called your uncle Gregory Charle? |

Posted by » soyfunk on Sun Nov 12, 2006 @ 10:14pm um the pictures are kinda small. try right clicking and pasting url into browser. the 4th picture is a tree (for shade) next to a rest-stop built for people who don't have motorised boats and want to have a siesta. |
Posted by » soyfunk on Sun Nov 12, 2006 @ 10:12pm this was chill. you can take a boat from Roluos (35 minutes from Siem Riep) and it brings you to Tonle Sap for a few seconds and then goes back to the Stung (river) and parks itself inside the flooded forest. then you can go swim onto a tree and just CHEEEEEEELL or jump into the water from tree to tree. just gotta be carefull there's no trees or trunks under the water. OUCH! |
Posted by » soyfunk on Sun Nov 12, 2006 @ 5:19pm the masacrew were going on during the 70's and it's organised for visitors cause they were probably just littered before. most places with tons of bones is cleaned up. trying to clean up the countries image. this place was pretty remote from casual tourists. there that one skull you can see in the picture maked with a red X. that person was killed for a specific crime. can't remember what.>>> people dont get buried in cambodian culture. they're always cremated. this was one of the last places where they keep the bones for display. i think. Posted by » Because on Sat Nov 4, 2006 @ 7:56am how old are those bones? do you know why they are sorted and stored like that? >>> that must have been difficult to see. Do bodies get buried normally in Cambodia, like we do in the West? |

Damn i miss your mom's food! and ASIE MODERNE.....argh. Posted by » soyfunk on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 1:40pm it's not hard to come up with 2 nice photos when you took 1500 of them. >>> on the left is a lady selling roaster banana rice cakes. luce you've had the steamed one. on the right is a lady that cooks up the seafood after you buy it from another lady. |
Posted by » Because on Sat Nov 4, 2006 @ 7:52am all this masonry would be beautiful inspiration for tattoos. You didn't get one did you? >>> That's a good idea. then i can still play with your balding patch on your head without casting a curse on you. It will still be just as significant though, because your dad will have done it. what are Kbachs? Posted by » soyfunk on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 1:33pm i didn't get a tattoo cause i didnt want to get aids and didn't want to get the religious ones. instead im having my dad redraw the Kbach's i like and i'll get it done with an artist here. |
Posted by » soyfunk on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 1:43pm nope. that's two phone numbers. they just started with ASEAN standardized liscence plates. you're supposed to pay for it when you buy your vehicle but most people can't afford to pay it so they make up their own plates at the dealer. |
Posted by » soyfunk on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 1:41pm hah. well said. if you can think about it; then it's possible in cambodia. |
Posted by » soyfunk on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 1:38pm Intense betting goes on throughout the kickboxing matches. same as Muay Thai but they prefer exchanging elbows over clinching. before the fight each fighter strut their stuff in honor to school, family and province they represent. >>> holland thaiboxing is the shit! i'd say better than thaiboxing from thailand! Posted by » Because on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 8:11am glad you got to see the real shit. When you come here we'll go to a "Pride and Honour" MMA fight full of butch dutch men... |
Posted by » soyfunk on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 1:32pm Nom Hing or Nom PingPign which means spider cake. the best i ever had. you can also get this in a chinese market in Montreal. >>> luce i've brought Hing cake home before. recognize them? |
Posted by » soyfunk on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 1:31pm i only brought two change of clothing. the other shirt and pants was covered in red dirt. Posted by » Because on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 8:21am i can't believe you're wearing your fucking scumlife shirt there. ahhahah. i thought that was un-kosher?! |
Posted by » soyfunk on Wed Nov 1, 2006 @ 9:18pm this is how they sell gas in cambodia. mostly contraband gas from vietnam. sold in liters for motos and that's our scooter getting the air tube patched up for the 4th time that trip. |
Posted by » Because on Thu Nov 2, 2006 @ 8:18am you should see how they park bikes here!! There are two bikes for every person in Holland, and it is the most densely populated country in Europe. Posted by » soyfunk on Wed Nov 1, 2006 @ 9:15pm scooters outnumber cars in cambodia. mainly cause of gas prices (which is the same as here) and since a 'fonctionaire' makes 30$ a month, only the rich (richer than you and me) drive around in Mitsubishi Pajero's and Toyota Landcruisers. the spraypaint on the wall says "warning to those who piss on this wall" |
