as someone who came from Russia, I can assure you that the media here is alot better than there... the article applies THERE everything is controlled, and people learn to read between the lines because everything is just BS. Alot of media here is like that too, except instead of power-control (i.e. you do something wrong and you disappear) its MONEY control... you dont write what you're told asnd you lost your job.. but there IS independent media and you can get different opinions and make your own analysis in conclusions - something we simply didnt have over there, seing how every radio, magasine, newspaper would say basically the same shit.

sure, the situation here isnt great, but things are getting better.. maybe slowly but I believe they are.
