I'd have to agree on the afters sucking the newbs too, but thats been a long time running... I dunno, as long as people are ok with only seeing certain dj's on rotation and the occassional guest at afters, that could be the majority future...but I gather that there probably will always be a small amount of people that will be willing to shell out some cash for an "underground" type event, which showcases music in a different way...it's the age old battle of glam and glit Vs dirty street grit...or something like that.

Now as far as being under 50 and without any life threatenning disease, yall have no reason to be jadded, so personally I think you should eat those "raw/real" life views and shit out some happy, sweet smelling, flowers of joy and spread your god given right to happiness!
