Im sure that some of you may have noticed some of the riddiculously cheap memory sales recently, so I thought it was time to upgrade...

Just wondered if it this is normal or a bad sign...

I recently aquired a stick of 1Go DDR2 ram, 5300/4200/3200 made by Kbyte at BestBuy for $29.95
I run a dell dimension 4700 3.0 with 512 ddr2 ram

I installed the new ram myself, took out on of the 256Mb sticks and replaced it with the new 1Go and on my first defrag I blue screened, and it said if I've never seen this message before(which I hadnt) that there might be new hardware badly installed.

So I rebooted and since my puter seems solid and super fast, at least, much faster than before(yay) but, I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else before when upgrading their ram?

that is a fact btw, the amount of nicotine in ten cigarettes is enough to kill a very healthy full grown adult... the reason why nicotine doesnt kill people when they smoke it (at least not right away) is because it changes form when heated up...

I think there was at least one CSI where someone was killed by nicotine, though it might have been from pesticides, which also contain leathel amounts of nicotine...

both my experiences were with wall plugs... I guess this is kinda like that weird fact where as you can smoke 10 cigarettes an be fine, but if you ground up and ate ten cigarettes you`d be dead within the hour...

I can say from experience the following:

120V - stings a bit, area where contact is made gets tingly
210V - jaw seazes, uncomfortable body tingling, involuntary and hard to control muscle contractions, area where contact is made can be charred or burned, and only what I can describe as a "battery acid" taste in the mouth

so my question is, neither of those currents have proven fatal to me, why is it that a tazer which puts out far less current can be? Granted Im in good health and neither of those exposure were ever for more than a few seconds at a time and neither of them were pulsing (I've heard that can freak ur nervous system out)... just curious if anyone knows the science behind this

In my humble and often unsolicited opinion, I think comparing the two for arguments sake is kindof futile, however :

trance is shit on(especially on this site) because people hate the bubblegum version they recognize and associate with the genre as a whole, thereby pigeonholing an entire genre into a small sound portrait that barely represents it all. Like any genre, it has its moments, its movers, its shakers, bestsellers and homebrakers, and because it is electronic, it most definitely has a future. It is much easier to hate things you don`t know anything about, though far be it from me to challenge anyone to say, I havent heard any (insert genre) that i like so far...

As for dubstep, it is the culmination of many styles, influences and sub-genres, with one element of overall/formal agreed point of concentration, BASS! I think it has a tone of potential, but guessing its place in the future of music culture would be as easy as guessing that the spice girls would release a comeback album and tour after their flauntingly gross chart-topper past (some things are better left burried)...

Also, I agree dave, if someone came up with a shareware app that functionned like trillian for personal pages so you could multiple login and update and blog, would be tres awesome... i think its a coding issue though, since each site is proprietory and coded differently.... like the issue of spaming friends through lists, a lot of sites offer address book harvesting, but most of them differ in support or function, meaning the most reliable is still having a notepad with a long and boring list of email addys seperated by semi-colons...
