this is not a big deal people, even if they did snag you downloading 200gigs of music or videos, the only thing would make them try and bust you (in our country anyways) is if you openned a music cd store or video store... in other words, they arent going to crack down on pirates, they intend on cracking down on people who try and profit from it. That being said, even if they did try and purrrrsue the fruitless prospect of personal end users, good luck proving where its from, how it got there and which story is a lie(this is assuming that most of the peeps on this forum are smart enough to hide that shit)... we are still safe in Canada for now...

I had a feeling you ask that... some of the pc's in our dep. have static ip's, others are dynamic, when we disable the proxy settings on dynamic pc's, we can access anything on the web, but it never seems to work with the static ones... I'm assuming it has something to do with the network connection? I think the network rules apply only to static ip's, but not to dynamics...

on a side note, I know that some techs bring in usb keys and use firefox which apparently seems to side step the network rules easier than explorer... but Im too lazy for that kinda effort, not to mention that I do have to work, so its better when I occassionnaly dont access what I would like to access
