I mean.. I didn't mind Tiny Toons.. just like I didn't mind Muppet Babies, making little kidsey versions of cartoons and puppets is ok by me for some reason... I think mainly because they're not magically transforming them into x-treme assault super heroes... what the fuck is wrong with these people!? There's absolutely NO WAY IN HELL that kids will like the Looney Tunes as action adventure space heroes from 2772... remember when they made the Mighty Ducks cartoon and it had super hero ducks that lived under the Anaheim arena (aka "The Duckpond")!? Neither do I, because it also sucked.

The only, I repeat... ONLY times animated characters getting a facelift and a new aim in life (their original aim in life was just to make us laugh at their hilariously predictable antics) was ok was TailSpin, Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, and to a lesser extent Goof Troop.

I mean... the powers that be even felt that the Ninja Turtles needed an extreme makeover a few years back, choosing to give each of them a different extreme sport aptitude (Michealangelo still rode a skate board, Donatello a mountain bike, Raphael was on rollerblades, and Leonardo was on one of those fucking skooters) and a generally more X-TREME outlook on life... like.. what's the matter... life-sized, ninja trained turtles on skateboards fighting a guy named "Shredder" wasn't extreme enough!?

Fawk!!

Stop raping my childhood.

lol.. yeah... when I saw the trailer and they were like "Featuring all new songs recorded especially by Jack Johnson" (or whatever the announcer guy says) I was like "What the fuck!?" and then.. thought about it for a second and realized that somehow, that made perfect sense. Jack Johnson and Curious George sorta fit together.

They'll need to get his value back up there anyways... right now nobody would touch him.. and there's that bit about "starting goalie bla bla" I'm not sure what the contract entails but I know trading your starter is tricky business mid season

Umm, Burton (before his directing career) was an animator for Disney.. I'm sure he had something to do with nightmare before xmas and corpse bride.. at least more than just funding it..

He funded it at did came up with the basic storyline and some of the character designs... he was too busy on another project to work directly with the film though... its all there on the special features man.

Also.. if we're up on Burton bashing... he pretty much had absolutely NOTHING to do with Nightmare Before christmas... it was just based on his ideas.. he didn't write it, didn't design most of the characters, didn't direct it... and yet.. his name is right there at the top "Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas"... I will admit to loving that movie though.

Actually.. the reason why I enjoy the first TWO Batman movie is because they it was largely based on the Dark Knight series of Batman comics, which was slightly darker/more stylized then the main Batman story arc... and while I'm a fan of a lot of Tim Burton's work... I really don't worship him the way lots of people do... for instance.. Planet of the Apes sucked, Batman Returns was so-so, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was cool.. but really not steller...

Also... there's like.. 100 million things wrong with Spawn... the art is fucking amazing, no doubt... but Todd McFarlene is NOT A WRITER, he's an artist... so you end up with the most disjointed, convoluted piece of shit story arc(s) that just go nowhere, I mean.. I collected Spawn up until like issue 20 or so... and there are inconsistancies popping up as early as the 6-7th issue...

and Spawn had his big-screen chance.. and it sucked...
