ahhhh sur le sujet des hormones/phéromones.

"The Pill Makes Women Pick Bad Mates"

"'Not only could MHC-similarity in couples lead to fertility problems,' said lead researcher Stewart Craig Roberts, an evolutionary psychologist at the University of Newcastle in England, 'but it could ultimately lead to the breakdown of relationships when women stop using the contraceptive pill, as odor perception plays a significant role in maintaining attraction to partners.'"

ouch.

in any case, it's definitely nothing to argue over, I just find it so weird that a large english speaking community lived/lives up there...

it's like a bunch of irish/scottish immigrants off the boat, decided to move up north, and begin a settlement up there or something. I really dunno, growing up as a kid it made sence, but today, it just seems so bizarre.

Whahhh we grew up 1.5 km from each other haha

Maybe they just planted them there to fight the patriots in St-Eustache... @_@

I don't like being harassed for not knowing French though like most cops / assholes do to me , why do I suck because I had no choice in moving here, hell when I was in school in the States we didn't even have a choice to learn French, it was all Spanish.

In my years of playing online games, I've met several people from the US who've had the option of learning French rather than Spanish, and picked it! Though few remember more than a couple words/sentences. Your school just sucked! :D

Most of our other teachers couldn't speak french hardly at all either.

Looking back at it now, I'm still baffled how a town/community existed in this province that way, for so long...
In the past 10 years they've turned most of the forests into new housing, and loads of french families moved in from surrounding areas. So the place is more mixed up now, but I'm tellin' ya, in the 70's, 80's etc, Deux-Montagnes was like 95% english speaking... (I still don't understand why).

anywho...

Hey, I'm from Deux-Montagnes It depends where you were... the area between Chemin d'Oka and the lake seemed to have very large anglo-only areas, mixed in with a few blocks of frenchies *waves*, but the area on the other side of Chemin d'Oka seemed to be mostly French, from what I remember of that time, especially near the library.
I used to know why it was that way, but I forgot.
Also, it appears that there is a page on Deux-Montagnes in Polish on wikipedia. bwuh?!

That's all there is to it, really. I used to confuse them in the first few years that I learned the language, but not everyone has a knack for languages / the opportunity to practice much / teachers that actually have English as their native language / whatever

I don't even want to think about the number of words I pronounce in a retarded manner because I did a good part of my learning with books... For instance, I've pronounced pear as peer for way longer than I'm willing to admit, and that's just one example.

This is kinda puzzling... if it isn't too "expensive", as he said... why would help be needed? Also, he seems to be talking about a party that's already happened...

My question is: have parties started regularly turning in a profit while I was gone? That would be cool.

"They began investigating Couture after Interpol, the international policing agency, forwarded them complaints about the gruesome content."
They probably felt intimidated by the involvement of Interpol / felt an excess of zeal brought on by a will to impress them.

Either way, stupid.

What's more, the section of the criminal code this lawsuit is based on, section 163, violates the charter of rights.

(Fantasia? The text of the code cites as punishable any depiction of a CRIME! Pretty much any story anyone would be interested in depicts a crime at some point! Shit, I think Tintin is illegal under that rule.)

(Oh, and if you read the rest of section 163, it's ALLLLLLL about child pornography. Clearly, this is just as bad as pedophilia, RIGHT?!

Jojo just took the words right out of my mouth.

Why do most stores not have X? My guess would be supply and demand... convert more people... get people to ask for these things... it'll happen! ;)

Or, sometimes, they just lose the stuff. I was looking for something at the big SAQ on de Maisonneuve the other day, and they had lost 18 bottles of it somewhere in the back store! They looked up their inventory, searched for it and ta-da...
