first of all, blis is one of the abusers of said option, so he's no reference. he's also gotten into a brief tiff with corrupter, so again, not a reference. thumbs down, for arrogance. if he can't ignore some of us, how does he expect us to ignore other people? meh...

second, y'all make me laugh. The banning option only works if used with good judgment and maturity. If people on the site (and on the 'net in general) were capable of that, we wouldn't need the option in the first place.

Before, people would just dis you, now they just ban you to do the same damage (same goes for Cutterhead's 'ignore' idea, sorry but it makes it too easy for bullies to ruin people's lives, instead of vice/versa as intended). that might get rid of 3 pages of two peops going head to head, but it does not get rid of the frustration and public defamation, nor trolls. And it does not save threads from getting derailed, it empties threads of interesting diverse opinions, wherein the person who started the thread has absolute control of the direction of the thread. which is boring and totalitarian, imo, and goes against what is so great about this forum.

however, in certain, and few, cases, the banning option has proven effective.

yeah, Punisher: war zone was surprisingly decent. also glad they stepped up the gore/blood to the point where it actually feels like Punisher and not the Slap-on-the-wrist-er...

but, the dialogue was really lame at times, and some scenes in general too. it felt like the dude who wrote the script got really drunk after every few pages of his script and wrote a couple of really dumb lines; then went to bed, woke up hungover, and continued writing.

during the flic, every ten minutes i was thinkin': "oh wow, this is pretty damn good....oh wait, what? no, that was stupid"... my thoughts cycled like that during whole movie.

still, pleasantly surprised...
