juste 2 personnes de banni, jahlist. et, en effet, avec rien de constructif a dire.

well, i would un-ban Blisss, but i can't seem to find the option...doesn't matter at this point anyway.

:)

cool :) ...all i need now is for people to vote for me ;)

but seriously, if you want older techno, you have use the older (no offense :p) Djs ...like Indica, Fishead and Sarcastic. (i'll PM you those names). Those guys are also encyclopedic when it comes to electronic music...

i really don't know where you'll get your 'prog' from though ...

but that's what i'm saying, at some point when a rating was, example, -2 Boring, i went to add my +1 Amazing, and the result would be -3 Boring ... think it's been fixed though...
» Nathan replied on Mon Apr 20, 2009 @ 2:25pm. Posted in boring.....

Coolness: 167275
mos def...but problem is that sometimes when the rating is already in the 'minus', any rating you give it will just make it worse...maybe that bug was fixed though(?)

meh...
» Nathan replied on Mon Apr 20, 2009 @ 2:20pm. Posted in boring.....
nathan
Coolness: 167275
seriously...

open a review thread, it reads like: "yeah party was cool! good times", with a few responses...then you check and the rating is -1 boring.
who goes around reading threads right after they're started, decides they aren't 'action packed!', and takes a moment to -1 them. it's annoying.

anyway, i guess that means someone is bored.

...and it's fine for people to give their opinion, but this smells like sabotage and/or childishness.

but then again, the ratings are there for a reason, maybe the threads really are just boring :P - lol

yeah, but i dropped a Prodigy track (voodoo people), to open a hardcore set, a month back, and maybe 4 faces lit up, the rest of the kids looked like: wtf? needless to say, i was surprised...

playing a proper set mixing 90s shit, like underworld, prodigy, chem bros, leftfield etc. with modern day hardtechno, is something i really want to do though. maybe at the new-gazeebo sundays this summer :)

but maybe you're talking more techno 'techno', like old acid or jeff mills and stuff...? in which case, i know next to nothing :p

i've always preferred smaller parties too, but i still think we should have 3 or 4 big parties a year...strength in numbers, y'know!

besides, if you want interesting artists that bring something new, from elsewhere, you need more ppl in order to pay for the artists. there should just be more communication between promoters, maybe that would help balance out the number of parties that try to be BIG.

like, everyone loves Prodigy; if they came to montreal, there would be 10 000 + people there, would you skip it just cause it's not a small party?

personally, next time i bring a hardcore artist in from out of town, i'll set it up as a show rather than a party. start early, and end at 3am. like i mentioned before, we can't let hardcore and it's entire family die just because people aren't as interested in raving anymore.

we need problem solving, not complaining!

XD ...Satronica rocked it hard!

and yeah, Betty, you mentioning 'turnout for a north american party', reminded me of Tense telling me after the party that even in New York City the attendance tends to be a quarter of what we had.

DJs always love coming to MTL, if not just for the gorgeous women, good weed, & poutine :p

Yes, maybe the scene has been a little stagnant & static for the pas few years, maybe it's just like all the other scenes, but i'm not going to stop listening to hardcore and trying to get it out there and moving forward in Montreal just because raves aren't always what they used to be.

Besides, electronic music events don't have to have the word 'rave' attached to them anymore. we listen to hard music, and we do what we want and what we need to, so that we can listen to it loud on a dance floor.

hardcore will never die. peace out.
