well, i was thinking you could run R3 from the partition drive in whatever OS you're using w/out having to reboot.. it works that way, right?

i was remembering having Rebirth (haha) on my old old 'puter, and it was on a partition, but i still ran from my OS, even though i was accessing it from another drive.

it would be like separating R3 from the rest without using a different OS (like it would be in quarantine on the other drive).. maybe it just doesn't work that way?

i have an idea/theory, though it might be stupid and not work at all - and you probably thought of it already, but i'll throw it your way anyway:

if the problem is some sort of bizarre conflict in your reg 'cause of having both versions installed, maybe you could create a small partition drive, install R3 in there, then install R4 in the main drive.

if i'm not totally stupid, R3 should still run from the partition drive, leaving the two separated enough for them not to recognize eachother as being on the same system; therefore, R3 wouldn't ask you for the keycode when you open it... (the idea bring that if they are on different 'drives' the reg shit shouldn't conflict, shouldn't create a rollback - though i'm no expert in registry stuff, so i may be way off base)

what do you think? --> 1)could work, 2)is too much of a pain in the ass to try, or 3) i can haz fail?

or, like what noah did in the new calendar (the one with flyers), when you go over the name of the event with the mouse, it highlights a square around the flyer thumbnail on the left-hand side...

so, same concept: if you go over the name of the dj, the thumbnail above the list gets a highlighted square.
