maybe if you pass some dissonant synths through it (place notes that don't go together), then add disto after the autotune, it might make for some interesting effects; but on vocals.. it just seems cheap and grossly overused.

... and if i hear anyone putting a phaser on an autotuned voice, imma kill 'em.

you guys don't get it.. he only posts in this thread, and the 10000000whateverpost thread.. so if no one posts in these 2 threads anymore, he really has nowhere left to write.. except 'what are you listening to' thread once in while...

so, if you don't want him to play with ya', just take away his toys..

sucks, but that's the solution.

have a nice day :)

nah, 'cause you have to plug everything in through a sound card, including the turntables if using serato, so it's a bit of a mess.. that should get cleared up soon enough and promoters and DJs alike will find proper solutions when laptops become more and more present in events.

again, either have a universal laptop, so DJs just brind a USB stick and load their tracks, or some ppl will just have to get there early and plug their shit in beforehand. if using serato, then promoters should provide an extra pair of dedicated tables. it's not ideal, and a bit more work, organization, and extra gear, but in the end, that's a very good thing anyway. (promoters should install wall to wall equipment and an ordered DJ booth :p)

but this is a question of the artist informing the promoter beforehand that they use a laptop.

solutions: they are out there.

also again, the problem with shitty mixing is never the medium used, it's the human using it.

pff.. not polite enough not to call everyone a troll or a nazi though, eh?

i didn't say 'don't talk about it' (hence the 'carry on'), i just meant that it's an argument that's been going on for a while here and that no one can win, so why bother? anyway, i gave my 2 cents, so i contributed to the convo..

meh.. not this again..

the only problem i have with laptops, from a tech or promoter standpoint, is that it's a pin in the ass when there are several laptop DJs in a night, 'cause you have to plug and unplug shit all night, and make room for the 'puters and sound-cards... but we'll get used to it, and find a solution, perhaps have the laptop DJs come early so they sound-check and plug in their shit before the party starts; or have a standard universal laptop, and the DJs just bring USB keys....

but besides that, to each his own. a DJ who uses records and just cross fades and doesn't do any cuts or tricks or beat-matching, is just as bad as a DJ who uses the 'easy' options on a program. most of the issues that are problematic with either option, is dependent on the DJ him/herself, not the gear...

anyways, there are + / - for both sides, it's a never ending debate..

so, can ppl stop arguing about this already?

(of course, if you want to argue, carry on! :p )

like Nike says: Just Do It

(hold up, i'm joking! & i hate nike anyway!)

but what can i say, life is hard.

think of the consequences: your family & friends will be sad, and they'll have to dish out alot of cash, 'cause funerals are expensive. And you'll just be another statistic.

plus, killing yourself ain't easy.. trust me. and it's rumored to be very egotistical..

if you're suicidal anyway, why not just sell all your stuff and move to another country? go take a walk in a rain-forest, at least you'll die naturally, and surrounded by beauty. at least you'll have lived before you die. In other words, if you have nothing to lose, then go do all the things you've always wanted to do!

there are always options, and suicide is rarely one of them. suicide is for quitters!

of course, i'm wondering why PricessProuToJus hasn't really responded for a while...

anyways, remember that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel (of course, the light might be an oncoming train) ... .. .

so, hang in there! :)

(ps. excuse the dark humored comments, i'm a little desensitized :p )

" In the hive the bees use their "honey stomachs" to ingest and regurgitate the nectar a number of times until it is partially digested. The bees work together as a group with the regurgitation and digestion until the product reaches a desired quality. "

yummy!

it also says that bees have to bat their wings to evaporate the excess water, so the honey doesn't ferment.. which proves once and for all: bees don't get drunk.
