why does it always have to be one or the other? isn't it cool that we have free raves, 5$ ones, 10$, 15$, 20$, 30$, 50$ ? .. all sorts of choices with varying degrees of grandiosity and quality!

understand this: events cost money. the cover should be: (total cost) divided by (projected attendance) .. ie. party costs 5000$, you expect 200 ppl, tickets should be 25$ .. simple! or, you have your own gear, DJs are your crew, party costs 0$, expect 75 ppl, tickets should be free!

a scam would be: party costs 1000$, expect 150 ppl, promoter gives himself the best timeslot, and charges 25$..

you just have to use your good judgment and try to give promoters the benefit of the doubt..

anyways, i guess that MTL ravers are poorer than ever, so parties will just have to be budgeted accordingly. so now we know, events have to be 20$ or less..

well, either use a ton of foam under the turtables, and/or use a very very heavy sturdy table to put the gear on..

i've seen some sort of spring system used too, but it didn't seem that effective. (so the tables float on something in a void, without directly touching a tabletop surface)

i had a slight problem with videocon when i first went with them; they were sending me electronic bills instead of printed ones, by the time i figured they weren't sending me anything, i called and realized my bill was in the hundreds.. i told the lady isn't wasn't my fault their company was desperate for cash, but it was their fault i hadn't paid yet :P

long story short, i payed up a bit every month, on my own terms 'cause i don't take shit from big companies, and i'm still with 'em and my bill is at 0.

i've given enough money to Bell. since their irritating beaver ad campaign, i ditched 'em and never looked back.
