well, i live a 5 min. walk south of metro st. michel, and it's a lot calmer and less creepy than in the 'shlag.

i much prefer it here. problem with the 'shlag isn't that it's always dangerous, it's the little poser pricks running around with all this attitude, as if it was all thuggy and dangerous. it's just annoying really. and i just don't like the vibe there .. ;)

C'mon now, even the worst part of MTL still isn't quite South-Central L.A. for shit's sake .. no matter what the ghetto-thug wannabes would have you believe. We don't shoot ppl for their shoes here. People here just grab your i-pod on the metro and run away XD ...
There are alot of heavies in this town, but they usually keep to themselves.

If you want to get stabbed, walk up and down St. Laurent at 3am on a Friday or Saturday, and bump into those coked-out-drunken-jock-douche assholes, 'cause they have an overflow of testosterone and 'shit to prove', or wear an assload of bling and walk around the 'Shlag or mtl-north or even the 'hood you're talking about ..

If you're female, don't walk around Hochalaga at night, 'cause you'll be followed and called a whore. 'Cause well, those socio-path dicks have nothing to do, and haven't caught up on women's rights yet.

But other than 'looking-for-it', most ppl don't have any problems. (though i have been jumped, and threatened with fire-arms for no real reason, i'm still alive, without any holes, thnx)

i've always found that Groove was the only movie that was really a rave movie, since the whole story is actually about different ppl who go to a rave, experience shit, then go home. not saying it's the best, just the most 'on subject' ... i think it was fairly accurate, in a simplistic way, and would've been better, except for the cheese, and some stereotyping. but then again, the rave scene can be pretty cheesy and stereotypical XD

** This just in :: During the autopsy, we've realized that one of the bodies has been found with a ticket for Love La Moustache .. so, even though it's a little bloody, we're giving it away to the runner-up of the Costume contest !! =)

He was found dead a week before Halloween, and yet, was seen again on All Hallows Day. On the blood trail of his brutal killers he has descended upon the city. But he is no savior, and, back from Death, he removes the heads of those he deems ''unfit for this city''. He kills, and he searches ...

--> Nā - The Gravedigger. Back from the tomb, back for revenge on humanity.

--> Screwhead - the first victim. Head found screwed onto the fountain at Saint-Louis Square.

--> Fishead - second victim. Head found in an aquarium, in a vegan Thai restaurant.

--> Greyman & Oran J - third and fourth victims, in town from France. The only people whose bodies were found, rather than their heads. The M.O. Might have changed, but the identity of their killer is certain.

--> Rubber Muffinhead - fifth victim. Found by a Cafe employee. Muffin rack has been stored as evidence, the employee will be in therapy for life.

Legend has is that they normally prey on unknowing LSD trashed hippies who party 'round the mountain, but now, they have murdered their guardian, and only Satan knows who their next victim might be - there are many streets in this town ...

Nā the Gravedigger - First recorded victim. Their guardian. Without his chains, the Mad'Stache killers freely walk the night ...

Host One crossed over to Drum and Bass at a very appropriate time. The genre had just exploded into the new millennium sound when he randomly started picking 12"s off the rack at Corey K's record shop in 2002, made his debut at Stabba's Junglist Fridays® and hasn't looked back since. Now making his mark on the Montreal scene with his hard Neurofunk edge and seal-tight mixing style, it's been proven time again that the Host One experience is a hard thing to recreate. Tearing through every set like an oiled up machine Host has been setting high standards for hard Drum and Bass DJ's in Canada, allowing him to play alongside heavyweights like NC-17, The Upbeats, Stalker, Subtone, and Kemal. In the last few years he's picked up production as a major hobby and aims to push things further with his strong sense in musical background and a high-rise rate of consistency ...
