Iszoloscope (2001), Terrorist Kriss (2002) but I guess you have some fucking stoopd subgenre to defend yourself with..

anyone elsse who has a brain maybe wants to add to this list of quebecois hardcore producers prior to 2006 IF ANY-1 CAN RMEMEBR THAT FUCKINGG FAR Away. mees not ugreid wiff dis posst!

dey's all friends of myne, and i say mootante wuz still one of de first to prodooss hardkore in quebec, i dun think the pooint wuz to be scentifimically accurite ... if you want to be accurate, here are your styoopd sub-genres: iszoloscope is self-proclaimed industriall not hardkore und kriss iz speeedcore ... ;)

i rememberz dat fars! and i say khan gourou wuz first hardkore i'ze ever heard ...

-_-

Y'know, if you find something inaccurate, there are ways saying so without coming off as a giant douche. Here, I fixed your post for you:

"Mutante is awesome, but since his first published disc came out in 2005, I think there might be a problem with calling him the 'first', since Kriss put out a disc in 2002. However, if you're talking about actual production, I guess he would be one of the first.

Anyway, I'm just curious .. thnx. much love"

There you go, if you find that there's a discrepancy, you can ask about it instead of trolling it.

Until then, you can STFU since you "dont know much abowt hardcore" (or spelling) ...

I don't think that worrying about bringing children being in odd environments is being conservative, more like responsible.

The question was about festivals in general, not if it's OK to bring kids to Open Mind. So, fine, even though I wouldn't, it seems safe to drag your kids to ONE hippy jam fest .. whatever, that doesn't mean it's a good idea for any festival.

When i see a kid at any festival (Punk fest, Industrial fest, etc.), who are under close supervision and there for a brief period of time, I think: "Oh how cute! Kid's gonna grow up to be _ _ _ just like their parents! That's cool - rebel young Padawan, rebel!" ... ... But in general, having a bunch of kids at a fest like that, overnight and all, I still think is unsafe.

Hell, kids are unsafe just about anywhere, doesn't mean you can make an exception for anything. Why do you think bars are 18+ ?

On the other hand, parties or festivals designed for kids are alright ...
» Nathan replied on Sat Mar 5, 2011 @ 9:15pm. Posted in Children at festivals.......
nathan
Coolness: 167265
... and i don't think drugs should be exposed to kids. I mean, it's weird when you're drinkin' and or tokin' or whatever, and you see kids running around. I don't even like smoking near a child, nevermind being stoned around one.

Even if a festival has a 'wholesome vibe' it doesn't mean that there aren't cracked out people hanging around. It's not just the drugs, and the loud music, it's the sketchy characters too.

So, it sucks for the kid 'cause there's some weird shit going down and kids aren't that stupid not to notice or be affected. It sucks for the parents 'cause they have to watch out of their children the whole time (or be irresponsible, which is worse). And it sucks for the other people trying trip out, while tripping over kids ...

All in all a bad idea, with few exceptions, unless you like taking chances with your kid's development. And for the people who wished they had been to festivals/raves/parties when they where young, well, those are the last people i'd want my kids chilling with ... :p

But whatever, do what you want with your children, the future is fucked anyway ;)

btw, Yoshin, i wasn't talking about hardcore vs. psy ... i was just making an honest general statement that pertains to ALL music scenes, from metal to techno to hip-hop to noise, etc.

And no, i don't listen to celine dion, i really hate that shit, but it's still music, so i won't hate someone who listens to it. if you're in a room with a group of people at an event, the one thing you have in common is that you dig the style of music.

Everyone has an opinion, everyone likes different tunes, some people make a public statement about it, in as much as some musicians take a stand on a style by only making the type of music they prefer, and all you can do is say: fuck you, i like *insert style* ...

... and then someone will shit on it. No one is innocent of having pulled down their shorts and taken a big verbal crap on a certain sound that didn't turn them on.

I mean, fuck, this is a rave site - why are we talking about music anyway? :p

a scene is a gang of people resigned to grouping together based on the music (in this case) that they prefer. as a group, they can therefore consent to anything, to any one opinion that they share.

that group might be made up of a bunch of different unique individuals, but they adhere to a herd mentality, as unfortunate as it is, so don't act so naïve ;)

besides, i'm just commenting on what people call a scene, i don't condone it and i didn't make it up ... i always thought it was the rave scene, the electronic music scene, but apparently i'm wrong :/

as long as ALL the different scenes consent to being guilty of bitching other scenes, we can all be happy and honest people.

i know i hate how some people are, and those some people are in every scene. Certain styles of music and their inherent values attract more of those people than others, unfortunately; but they're still everywhere. Some of those assholes don't even like music - they're there to take advantage of others.

to quote a hardcore gabber track (y'know, that so-called hate filled style of negative techno) :

"The whole thing is based on respect
Respect to the music
Respect to the dj's
Respect to the crowd
And respect to one another

We have to remain in constant contact
But look around yourselves
We got every kind of person in this room
And they're not kicking fucking attitude
It's about music

Music never separated people
No ones style of music is better than the other
No ones style is truer than the other
It's all music, It's all music, It's all music " -Endymion, 2001.
