Ok, this is really NOT a big deal, but I was wondering if it was possible to add in multiple timeslots for a DJ in the " Music: " section of an event page.

As it is now, under 'Profile' you can add a Day, Room, Style, and Time - but only once. It's just 'cause sometimes a DJ might play more than once during the night, so as to make the line-up look nice and clear, it would be cool to specify that the person is playing more than once - ie. at both 22:00 and 02:00 ...

ex: Add a "Second Slot" option.

Just a suggestion, since at my nights I play at the beginning and the end, and it just looks like my guest dj at 01:00 is playing for 2 hours ... also good for events like Mickos' where someone like Wally plays a few short sets throughout the night ...

No biggie! Just checkin' the possibilities!

Thnx Noah =)

ps. if this option already exists, tell me where/how! xD

True, he is honest, or so the name of his current show says xD
And too many famous people pull the 'oh so sorry' stunt to save face, even though they should just fess-up and admit they fuck-up 'cause they're just people with odd lives ...

But, if this is a clever act, then it ain't that honest, no?

Anyway, I still think he went overboard, fallen right off the SS Sanity ... but even if it's an act, he'd have to be a little crazy to come up with it and pull it off -- I dunno, but I do know that this is gonna get old, fast :p

I don't follow all of the memes/youtube/twitter stuff on him, but from what I've seen, he's just gone nuts (duh) .. but was he nuts before, and it just became obvious? or is it Hollywood and/or drugs?

See? Being famous sucks .. it just makes you go insane! Gimme infamy, but fame? nah, you can keep it.

Didn't read the whole thing though, so I'm not clear on why they would do that, but it seems to have to do with the people not agreeing on the budget. That's kind of a weird consequence, imo .. o_O

^ yep ...

so lame. if you want to cause some damage, then go after things that are worth it (piss on a mcdonald's, graph an ad for ed hardy) -- stuff that big corporations own -- but destroying private property is just weak. maybe the person can't afford to fix whatever damage you caused, and you just ruined his life or at least his day, for a 5 second thrill, or unjustified rebellion, or your own personal anger issues.

agreed, that shit is whack.

Facebook = voluntary contribution to big brother

but since it's also the biggest social-site on the 'net, i guess we have to put up with it until something better comes along, just like we had to do with myspace :p

i only have 3 problems with the site:

- too much personal info (that's being traded and sold + being used by non-corporative stalkers)
- it's way too buggy - it fucks up all the time, 'specially events and such
- that people see it as a social replacement. it's hard for me to explain, but you know, i'm talking about people with multiple profiles, that spend all their time on there, as if it was a replacement for a social gathering, as if if you have friends online they're all your real friends. these people try to be popular online, like virtual prom-queens ... meh, seems like a cold/superficial version of real friendship, real human interaction - the 'big-picture' society.

Anyway, not everyone is on FB, but a fucking lot of people are - though tons of whom aren't even that active. Take it or leave it.

It's efficient for many things, but it ain't a necessity in life. duh.

well, someone just stepped into a 6 foot deep pit of shit. he was probably hoping it was cotton candy, but nope. shit. 6 feet deep.

the truth comes out - toni takes pics of us all, big smile, his face everywhere, but here it is: he's been judging us and looking down on us this whole time.

if we're so scummy, drugged-out, and uneducated, why do you take pics of our chicks, eh? then turn around and insult 'em when they don't approve of your advances ... so low. deep in a pit of shit.

I mean you guys are enjoying yourselves at his expense. Keep poking at someone for that long and eventually they will explode, it's a natural human reaction. Hell i'm surprised he didn't blow up sooner.

Hasn't he been enjoying himself at the expense of others? Not everyone likes to have pics of their cleavage or drug-induced-retardation on the 'net, not everyone likes to be in his 'movie'. He's also allowed into parties for free 'cause he has a camera. Clearly he hits on alot of girls ... None of that is necessarily wrong, but some people might take offence - and that's natural.

Like I've said before, there are ways of taking a pic and making it look good, then there are ways of taking pics to have the maximum amount of cleavage and stuff in the shot. He does the latter. There are thousands of photographers in Montreal, why is he the only one being put down? hmm ... maybe it's his underlying themes? (young attractive raver chicks & himself).

So, that extensive picture collection you speak of is part of the problem.

I try not to insult him, and I say Hi when I see him, but I do criticise his methods.
And he has a right to speak up against that, but is he here in the thread taking a stand, explaining himself? No, it seems, he threatens individuals instead. Of course he's worried about his reputation! But sometimes that isn't the fault of others' reactions, or slander, it's your original actions.

Anyway, if you're gonna rave with people half your age, take a million pictures - most of which with your face in it, make a movie about that scene, talk to everyobdy, and basically put yourself in the spotlight, you have to expect some sort of reaction! It's a little naive/childish to be all "look at me! look at me! -- but don't judge me!" ... assume the consequences of your choices.

Actually, I have the same problem with Hardcore, the prod quality shifts drastically from one era to another, even within plates from the same era. On top of that, I switch regularly from Records to CDs, so there's some differences there too. On top of that, some of the CDs are burned mp3s, some are the original albums, so again, big differences in volume and quality.

My point is, gain + EQ + volume + beat-matching = adjustments. I guess it's a vibe killer to switch tracks and create volume/quality fluctuations, but you can transition creatively (like, before going from that 2011 track to that 1998 track, throw something from 2005 in between), or adjust ahead of time, or use the time that the 2 tunes are beat-matched to move the sound difference smoothly into the right direction.

It ain't easy, but quality-juggling should be in your Dj-bag-of-technical-tricks ;)

-- btw, i'm saying that you're right Mike, but that there are ways around the problem, 'cause some tunes, no matter how old, or less 'punchy', they are, deserve to be played =)
