to superman, sorry but all this complaing is not just because a few of the NTK crew couldn't get in, if I'm also complaing it's because a whole bunch of people were poorly treated...without dropping any names, international DJs from ireland and NYC who are on Ind.Str.Rec. had to pay the big bucks to get in (and they were humble enough to not even try to use that to get in for free), I had to go through a whole bunch of shit myself to get in(whine) though I kept a smile the whole time...that's why everyone is bitching, becasue of multiple incidents...and as for all promoters losing money since 2003, well, after four parties, DeadNa has broken even, so there is a way, and being a condescending pretenscious dick is NOT the secret to success in the underground...and to Le D: thanks for the plur pic, made me laugh...over and out.

first: no more bullshit about expensive headliners (Headstrong MTL in Oct.: with like 10 headliners, 30$ at the door, which is 10 $ less than Bio)...plus dozens of other parties with DJs from all over the globe at less than 20$ (piss me off and I'll list every fucking one of 'em and tell you how good they were)...second:stop bitching out those who are complaing because, despite the downer of negativity, this is the only way we can change things and let certain promoters know that we don't need any RayJr wannabees in MTL, only quality music and parties that are reasonably priced so that we can afford to attend more than one event a month (it's not like they're complaining about something entirely unimportant)...third: with Elec.Church, Noah proved that having only local DJs and a two mile long guestlist actually works out fine...last: someone got defensive for J.S., don't worry, we all know that Sickness had nothing to do with the bullshit, no one is blaming him for anything, we're proud of him for having brought Radium after two years of trying...finally, stop putting down the hardcore scene for having a "philosophy", at least we have principles...that's it...'nuff said.

what no one seems to be getting here is that most of the people bitching about the price/entry are us HardCore fanantics...why? BECAUSE WE'RE FUCKING POOR, but we still want to listen to hard tekno at a party...Sickness, you were great, and the only sympathetic promoter...but the entire hardcore scene was teased and mistreated by the others there that night...most of those on the defensive have no idea just how much, I'll spare the details, but moebius and gang were not the only ones treated like dirt...oh well, I guess us hardcoreheads and our low-budget/high-vibe parties are just not important enough......and no one had better call me whiney.

first of all, moebius and company had showed after the headliners had played, so why should he pay 40$, secondly, him and the NTK crew are practically the only ones in MTL who actually distribute records from all the labels associated with Radium and friends...I guess professional courtesy at 5:00 in the morning is too much to ask...(fait toi en pas Moebius, t'a pas manque grand chose...sauf Radium)...oh well, whatever...

Sounds more like a bloody mess, well, a slightly controlled mess, like searching for those set equations in chaos, without, however, any trainwrecks, and realize that there hasn't been a HC event for nearly a month, and there won't be another for nearly a month, so this is it, last harsh event before school etc...B there or B square...ah...

for a taste of things to come, check out Zunbar, this Sunday, aug.21st, w/ DJs Gammaburst, LVX, Na, and more...harsh industrial, electronoise, a bit of the ol' HC, only 3$, at Saphire's...and for the 4th of September, incase anyone was wondering, here are the styles to be explored: industrial, hardcore, powernoise, speedcore, electrocore, saturationcore(yeah, I just made that up), and a certainly a few surprises...

right on, power noise, the brainchild of the industrial hardcore family, you can't get harder than rhythmic distortion...ah, and with some New York style speedcore by Tense (of Hell'z Army)...damn...and, though I don't want to jump the gun or be too melodramatic, this might also be Brainstormer's last set, so after all these years of being one of MTL's best industrial etc. DJs, we're getting one last chance to dance...so, fuck the optimists and fuck the pessimists, in 20 days we give up on everything and just enjoy the music...

Hey, hey, people, my birthday is coming up, which means a crazy hardcore event is up and coming ... the Nossimist, Sunday, September 4th, 2005, (day before labour day), at Saphire's, starting bright and early at 21:00. Were bringing back a couple of our favorites from New York City to help out with this hardcore industrial bash (emphasis on the bashing), along with some of my prefered locals ... here's the insane 6 hour lineup ::: SATRONICA (Things to Come, Industrial Strength) NYC .... TENSE (Apocalypse, Beast) NYC ... Mutante (Psychic Genocide), Brainstormer, Blackpaps, and, to guarantee frequency oversaturation, Na vs. members of PerfectionPlastic (live) vs. members of Egoid (live)... this shindig, brought to you by those who produced the Fool, and L'Humanite, is only 6$ at the door, which also gives you access to the first floor and the terrasse (EBM, industrial, and goth)...
Yeah, in a few weeks were gonna kick some shit...check calendar and thread for details/updates... and, as usual, all questions are welcome...power to the people....

Alright, I wasn't gonna post anything, I was only there in the morning anyway, however...Worm I don't know who you are, and I don't want to give you any more attention than you deserve, but you do have a right to your opinion, if you actually were there and you thought it sucked, fine, whatever, BUT YOU DO NOT THREATEN BETTY HAZE...EVER...Promo deserves some respect whether or not he kicked ass the other day 'cause he's already proved himself over the years, the problem with headliners is that they have no idea what we like here in MTL, and with the apparent variety in tastes, it would be impossible to please everyone anyhow. My only comment about the party, and don't take this badly, is that when I walked in, maybe it was too late, but it really didn't feel like Mars 2044, more like Earth 2005...oh well, as long as Worm realizes that he is NOT to fuck with Betty, and that he can shit an opinion without being an asshole, I'm happy.........senseless cross promotion: Sep.4th,'05 :Nossimist w/ Satronica and Tense...

Yeah, yeah, nice party, saw some old peaps I haven't seen is a fuck of a while, sound was fine in the small room, good enough for me to have a great time on the decks, despite scaring the shit out of the clubber types, thanks Noah, and thanks to all my hardcore buddies and strangers for cramming into the small room, bouncing around like nutjobs, out to represent the hardfuckers...and as much as we'd like to leave the subject dead, the security may not have been nazis, but they sure were fascist, I guarantee there's no law stipulating that at an afterhours the dudes have to to a full body search of everyone walking into the club, let alone the DJs, I was waiting for the rubber glove...but I guess that "can't be helped", fuck that noise... aside from the minor insulting inconvinience, it was all "good times, good times..."......

Yeah, I know I'm replying a little late, but someone was wondering if I was gonna play Dizzee Rascal kinda grime, but alas, I'm not sure why Noah had experimental and then Grime beside my name, but I'm playing an all out Hardcore set, and he knows it , it's just that some have a hard time putting a label on my sets (which is fine with me), but there'll kicks, distortion, and it'll be danceable, so who cares what it's called, as long as all the hardcore MoFo's show up...just writing this post is getting me all excited, so I'm gonna go turn the volume up on my stereo...see you all Saturday...

It's now sunday, and I still can't get over how hard the music was on friday, damn, kiks were huge, the distorion massive, and christ, fuck, what else is there to say?
Oh, I know, to those people who didn't feel like paying the full cover, realize we had 10 acts, from Ireland, NY, and MTL, a good soundsystem, and a nice venue with a super chill room - and we still managed to keep the price below 20$. Next time, to save $$$, buy your tix in advance, or stay home, 'cause in the future no amount of sucking up or whining is gonna get you in...and this excludes all the people who were invited as guests, or who actually helped out - without whom this event would have been in my 2 1/2 with a home stereo and turtables from the late 70's. Thanks one last time to everyone, and, foremost, to Lowtek himself for blowing us all far, far away...so, 'til next time, live hard and support your local scene...

Hardcore blends with anything, there's already a "hard" or "core" version of any techno style, so why not throw it in with psy-stuff, same room even, who cares...I agree with Skintracker and some of the others, music has gone so far that blending is one of the only options left, at least it brings shit together...though it is nice to have homogeonous parties, it's also refreshing to mix up bizarre combinations and provide a bit of unity...I definitely prefer the dark/hard/noisy shit, but we at some point we have to stop being so purist and fascist about our tastes in music...
I believe Caillou is also in the midst of working on a similar project, so I encourage both him and Jack to take a chance and go with it...as always, the question is not why do it, but why not?
