| Coolness: 167290 | ok...but last night I was at the NTK part under the overpass and it was loads of fun, good music, good people, good vibe... ...partying outside in MTL under the highway is an example of parts of the HC scene that alot of people don't see, I mean the fuckin' dedication, it's great...and with parties like STUV on the way, I think we're slowly getting back on track...as for culture, if you actually find any real culture stemming from a music genre, let me know, 'cause all I see in every scene is bullshit, just events and no cultural integrity...whatever, I'm still dead from last night...and what a kick ass night that was... ... ... |

| Coolness: 167290 | cool... maybe Fish'll take a pic w/ me ;) ... ...by the way, I agree with you all, but the best compromise we could have , which in a way is the way things already are, is to have headliners every few months and local talent events in between...and yeah, sometimes the competition gets absurd and causes problems, but at the same time, at least we get diversity, in varying ammounts of quality, taste, price, and ambience... Idealy, crews would do their own thing, and once in a while, pool their resources for giant events...and, yeah, Wizdumb, it's sad that HC has lost it's popular edge here in MTL, just 4 years ago we could have 500 people in a party, and the years before that 2000, now we have to destroy our brains and nerves just to have 300... ...I don't think it's the music, however, it's just the way things worked out through all the bullshit in the scene over the last couple of years (especially since Cybervamp's death)... but with Neurotoxik last month and S.T.U.V. next January, and the other things going on between, (not to mention the presence of industrial in HC parties) I have fresh confidence in hardcore and it's many friends ...the downtime is over... ! |
