Yes, there has always been bullshit, but promoters worked through all that, and we're still around today, despite. PLenty of fingers to point at plenty of targets:
You see, the Fire dept. is used by the police 'cause they don't need any paperwork to bust a party, and the police (please coppers, don't get mad, this is a fact and you know it) work for the City Of MTL who have their rules, while the corrupt section of the police work hand in hand with organized crime, who also work against us 'cause of the Clubs (and how they forget our previous relationship : "veut tu quek-chose, veut tu quek-chose?")...IN other words, we have a shitload of enemies, all of which hate us because we are marginal, we don't do as much drugs anymore, and because of the ignorance of the public (which incl. the govn't) because they think we are a bunch of degenerates out to get their kids' stoned...But I see that everyone seems to know these things already...(btw, we are really just a bunch of bass loving people who throw parties because no one else will play our music).

All that is fine, but the real reason is that the CITY OF MTL DOES NOT WANT ANYONE WORKING WITHOUT PERMITS beacause we then don't pay taxes, and we don't abide by the RULES, such as "allowed number after-hour clubs per square mile" (thnx again to Tramblay). That's it. When we find legal venues, the rest of our enemies get in our faces and do the city's dirty work. It's been like this for over 5 years now.

And if Stereo/Circus are really to blame in this incident, then the message should clear to them, and without prejudice : simply, mind your own business, and we'll mind ours. Any problems with specific promoters, deal with them, and leave the rest of us alone. -'nuff said.

Personally, I don't really approve of repeated venues, it has always meant trouble. Always. However, it's hard to be breaking our faces looking for venues all the fucking time. Either we work harder, or destroy that which is in pour way. I've always seen our scene as being subtle and humble...but at some point we have to stop taking shit. It's very stupid of the After-Hour gurus taking us on. Clubbers don't really have a scene to defend, they're just weekend warriors, looking for a place to dance and do coke...We, on the other hand, have lives to DEFEND. I don't think we should become militant, but, christ, we gotta stand up to jerks...and Breathe was right on about how we are not a threat to after-hours, and how, in the past, they were the ones feeding off of us (-paraphrased). How easily they forget who their masters are. Take the power back...

I just had one idea, a speedcore party, this spring, outside, right in front of the Circus. Think that'll piss off enough people?

Above all this, no drama, who cares, this has happended before. And it'll happen again, like everything else... .. .

Clarification on the sound: most sound provided by those who mentioned it earlier,it just wasn't supposed to be mentioneed so soon...so, no Moog...yet, no home stereo...and no bullshit sound system...I don't think anyone cares anyway, as long as the DJs are happy with the set up, and the ravers enjoy the BIG, yet not deafening, SOUND... .. .
More importantly, we have trustworthy techs to make the sound nice and proper...
