violent music is designed to let out the bad, and to take music to the extremes of creativity. instead of hiding out in ignorant bliss (not a pun) hard tunes open you to realism, to the harsh realities of this society.

and that does not contradict 'happy' or 'good vibes' music (though, for me, hardcore has plenty of good vibes), it compliments it. like brother and sister.
