ok Ive been arounf since the late 80s when raves evolved in norht america out of the underground wearhouse scene influnced by what was happening in the UK at the time. Ive seen these scene go from 200 people events to 1000000000 person events go from being called raves to parties to some thing called post rave or electronic music event. Ive seen the parties go from illegal venues into legal club spaces and back out again. Ive seen the popularity of different substance come and go at these things and the same about the musci happening at these events...
the one thing I will never understand is these kids who are always tring to live in the past always talking about in the day or talk about an old school vibe who cares about what happened in the past who cares about what vibe was when and where... electronic music which is the backbone of all this stuff is about forward thinking not about backward thinking so stop living in the past and we can all move on to a bigger and brighter future... :)

oh and the sound still leave a lot to be desired there... they still have a long ways to go in that area... its a huge concreat space what that means is its a echo chamber no matter how you set up the sound there unless you can take the time have the funds to erect a sound curtain that goes all the way around and some thing on the ceiling .. so that the sound doesnt bounce all over the place like a rubber ball the size of the space makes such a venture very costly...
its some thing they need to address I personally think....

I think its quite hard to get a decent job in mtl sure you can find any old mcjob here in the city but a job that you like and want to stick with can take a while... I worked a variety of shitty mctechjob for just over a year since I moved back to mtl. but after some presisitance and lots of hard work of contantly appling for jobs I scored a great job just recently...
so dont give up Im sure things will work out sooner or later...

guilt is a subjective thing and if your guilt ridden then you think its wronng then you shouldnt be doing it but if you are doing it then you shouldnt have any problems with it... I mean as long as both parties are of legal age and are concenting its all cool..
I leanred my lesson and decided that its not for me... who needs to relive what you went through 10 years earlier..by dating someone 10m years younger then you if your into it that thats cool and if it works for you then thats cool for you...

in my past I dated a lot of women who were between 8 and 10 years younger then me and I have to say that the in your teens and 20s nothing more then a few year difference and after that in your 30s its a free for all... it is all about life experince and someone in their 30s has had a lot more experince then some one in their 20s as someone in thier 20s has had over some one in thier late teens as some one compared to thier early and pre teens...
how ever with that said I do know that someone in thier 40s is looking for some thing different then someone in their 30s...
so my findings is that at any age nothing more then a 5 year age difference is usually the best combination for a nice long term relationship....
any thing else and its probally not going to work but there are exceptions to the rule...
(my parents are 11 years apart and still in love after 41 years)

whats the deal I was paroozing some of my favorite toronto stes and noticed that on nov 28th photek is playing in toronto along with dillinga and lemon d
with a shit load of other drum and bass
for the most part this doesnt over interest me but why isnt any one brinign photek to montreal?
I mean the guy is only a few hours away...
Im not the largest drum and bass fan but I am a large photek fan (minus his last record: solerus, which I was not sure what to make of it)
any how does any one have any answers about this how did that happen that such a "large" name could come through here and miss montreal compleatly? I know that torontos drum and bass scene is larger and more established then montreals but hes still not some unknown artist.... Im sure whom ever would bring him in would definatly not loose money on it...hell I bet they can throw in lemon d and dillanger as part of the package and that would up the turn out ...any how this just goes to show you that its a sad day when a tech head like my self who doesnt care about drum and bass for the most part is asking this question... this sort of stuff I would think would be talked about and dealt with in the jungle community... as aposed to a technogeek like me noticing it.... :(
(I want photek to play in montreal, I dont want to go see him at some huge rave at the government in toronto for 30 bucks...) ;)

os x is based on neXt os I didnt say it it runds neXt I said that its based on the neXt kernal.. its why apple bought over neXt way back...and the banqerupt the company so he can exploit the OS into the MAC OS...
get your facts strait and read my posts befor posting your comments...
open source does not mean that the OS is insequre it means that people have the code to use to make things to run on the OS... exploiable means that people can hack the security systems of an os to exploit hacks/viruses/attacks...if you lock down a linux box and you lock down a windows box its the windows box that will be attacked more easily then the linux box... its a proven fact...
also dont talk down to me by calling me SON fisrt of all Im probally your senior in both age and tech experince... (Im 35 and have been working in the tech industry for the past 10 years: Ive worked for most of the larger backbone providers around - UUnet and ATT for example...so dont talk donw to me please)

I used it as a server at the customers request not mine I explained this to them but they wanted all thier machines including the servers to be xp who am I to argue... you dont have to tell me unix is best Im a unix person first and formost...
as for all your BS about mac I still say shut the fuck up you dont know what your talking about...
at all... os X is based on the neXt OS which is a flavor of *nix as bsd, solarus, as/400, linux is...
your on a lame crusade crawl the fuck outta your cave adn realise that people are not interested in being victims of MS any more.
people will stand up and take control of thier computing lives and mac is a good way to do this as is open source applications...
as for cross platform development that has all changed with os x its very very easy to develope an app over both platforms now with out much trouble....

as for the parts, you get what you pay for. it would be the same if just anyone made mac hardware.

of course I admin a number of xp pro networks and a few servers and have seen many a crash in xp pro. of course the crashes are not as frequent or as bad as with early windoz os versions but they still crash... not to mention all the windows viruses... there is only one known virus for mac and it was taken care of back in 98 when they went from os 8 to 9 the os iis very hard to exploit a virus on same for unix/linux os some thing pc's still have problems with...
as for parts mac does not allow for clones for a reason...it brings the price of the machines up more but how many pc owners do you know can say they have a functioning machine from 1987? one of my unix boxes is my first computer from 87 a mac 2
all with its orginal hardware... working as a firewall to my personal network... how many pcs do you know that are 16 years old and still functioning perfectly with orginal hardware...
I bet none...

if you still are of the frame of mind that PeeCees are better then mac's you are living in the stone ages... get a life...
sure mac's are more directed towards creative uses where are pc's are best for office use...
I use 4 differnt platforms pc, mac, unix and linux and they all have thier plus's and minuses..
there is no real use in having a mac vs pc debate...
so death sit down and shit the fuck up!
do some research and learn some thing befor you talk! the mac processor has surepassed the processor power of a pc long time ago the OS is open sourced and like linux is os X is unix based ..... much more robust then windows is for certain types of jobs like video, audio and grafical editing...
windows is still dos based a cheaper version of unix that is not as robust as say the current mac OS or unix which is why windows machines crash all the time or run out of resources... faster then a mac/unix os...
mac hardware is standardised and only made by apple there for it is of a higher quality then some random generic pc parts producer whos parts are not standardised and are just cheaply made...for the most part...
as for no much software there is pleanty of software for mac now just as much as on the peecee...
shall I go on...
this sort of argument is stupid and a waste of everyones time!
