hey guys to make things easier and less harder on us all when looking for things like sets on line lets try to post them all in the same thread
I created a thread called ambient/idm sets on line but Ive seen people posting a shit lod of sets in to thier own new threads ... I know when Im looking for sets to listen to on line I dont want to have to shift through a 1000 threads to find a set in stead of it all being in one spot... so lets try to post all the music sets into one thread for ambient same with the other forums like techno and electro... thanks...

yeah I would love to bring nick holder to play here in mtl some time...
in fact I would love to bring in his garage 416/hot stepper crew to mtl for a party...
but just to have him out here would be honor enough... and to play on the same bill as him would equally be an honor...
he and I used to both do radio shows at CHRY up at york university back in the late 80s I remember him being a really nice guy.
and later when I would talk to him at the garage 416 parties he was still an awesome person. fame and fourtune never went to his head...

ok I se the problem I do audio on mac and you do it on a pc large difference...
the one 12 inch I mastered on a pc ended up sounding like mud... but that was just the guy who was doing it and not the pc how ever ever since then I have refused to use plug ins to do mastering with... on pc or mac

personally in my experience its best to not bother using any plug ins when mastering and to simply use the wave editors internal tools like volume edit and eqing functions... it works best that way for me any how..

if your releasing a full lenght release so that all the tracks are normalised the same and you can do interesting segways on the cd so that they flow from one to the next (like I did with my resound record) ect ect
you would use a multitrack tool for easier cd indexing and normalization of the tracks...
I wish a multitrack release that would be cool...

steve seriously some times theives do things like that checking up on you to see if your home....
they tried it with em some bogus plumber called to find out when I was going to be around for him to come in and do work, work no one ever requested... so I decided to tell this person I wasnt going to be home that day so he couldnt come and guess someone tried to break into my apt...
how ever they were met with a crowbar accross the head as they poped thier head through the window...and a few mins later with the cops...
:)
so steve please be carefull there are lots of punks in this city who would be happy to break into your place...
