Do recipes work?

This is my favourite mushy cookie recipe.

Just reduce the number of chocolate chips because the amount they suggest is just wayyyy too much. And DON'T overcook. Even if they look raw when they come out of the oven. When they cool down they'll become perfect. And cook your whole batch at once, don't do like my mom and cook only one tray at a time, you'll burn them.





Recette de Biscuits mous aux brisures de chocolat


Préparation : 15 min
Cuisson : 12 min
Portions : 24+



INGRÉDIENTS

2 1/4 tasses (250 g) de farine
1 c.à thé (5 g) de bicarbonate de soude (petite vache)
1 tasse (250 ml) de beurre mou
3/4 tasse (150 g) de cassonade
1/4 tasse (50 g)de sucre blanc
1 paquet de pouding instantané à la vanille
2 oeufs
1 c.à thé (5 g) de vanille
2 tasses (500 ml) de brisures de chocolat
1 tasse (250 ml) de noix (facultatif)


LES ÉTAPES

1. Préchauffer le four à 350°F.
2. Crémer ensemble le beurre, la cassonade et le sucre.
3. Mélanger dans la poudre à pouding.
4. Ajouter les oeufs et la vanille.
5. Mélanger ensemble la farine et le bicarbonate de soude puis les ajouter au mélange.
6. Finalement, mettre les noix et les brisures de chocolat.
7. Cuire de 10 à 12 minutes à 350°F.
8. Les biscuits sont prêts lorsque les côtés doivent être dorés.
9. On peut mettre la sorte de pouding désirée. A essayer avec du pouding au caramel ou au chocolat.

Alright, alright, alright, gather 'round, boys and girls, and listen to grandma Mo's stories of the Guvernment.

This is a TRUE story. It happened to a friend of a friend of a friend of mine. (Actually no, it happened to me.)

In Toronto where I party most of my parties, there is a club called the Guvernment. It's huge, full of people you know and is commonly known as the "place where bad music goes to die". Still, we go, because, well, they let us wear our ugly sneakers, walk around in phat pants and give each other light shows.

So there are a certain number of hardcore sketchbags there who look like they live at the Guv, meaning that there is no way you could ever imagine these people in a different environment, like working a deskjob or sipping a beer at a friendly barbecue. Smashed faces, cracked out attitudes, acne-ridden skinny faces... you know the drill.

I'm at the Guv one night with a friend of mine, and she's her usual 15 minutes of nausea before the rush hits. I ask her if she wants to go to the bathroom, and she seems unsure, so I propose to take her there myself. I grab her by the hand, and whoopee! We're on our way.

Now the horror begins.

I lead my friend to a stall and wait outside. And then this chick... this crazy, weird-ass, angry faced, skinny, wired asian chick walks into the bathroom. There's only her, my friend in her stall, that lady who has all the make-up shit for the poupounes, and me, standing with my back against the wall, trying to make myself as invisible as possible.

The chick in question starts shouting and chanting and dancing with herself in front of the mirror. She's grinding it, she's dropping it like it's hot, she's giving herself a show. It's incredible, it's scary, it's absolutely amazing. Then she turns to me- TO ME!- and decides I'm the one she's dancing with now.

So, picture me, leaning against the wall, and this girl walks up to me and she looks as angry as a psycho killer and she shouts with a heavy asian accent: "I LIKE TO DANCE WITH WHITE GIRLS! THE WHITE GIRLS THEY KNOW HOW TO DANCE!!!" There she is, rubbing herself on me, squeezing me against the wall, dancing to the muffled sound of dirty house from the nearest room, screaming insanities, and I'm there, praying that God will make me blend with the wall so I can escape her grip, and crying "Robinnnnnn are you done yetttt??????"

When I finally got out of the toilet and told my friends this story, they all went "Ohh, yeah, G Girl!" So I guess everyone knows about her. Several weeks later, she bit my friend's coochie on the dancefloor.
