FF7 rocked indeed, but my fave FF will always be FF3 (US / FF6 JP)... Post-apocalyptic world FTW (^^)

And Mr Horus sir, 5 bucks says you haven't read that second book (on the erowid website). I'm taking a wild guess here that this book doesn't condone supratherapeutic doses, and it's probably more a critic of the biased US drug classification system.

Now once and for all : clinical-grade GHB may not be bad for you, IN SMALL DOSES. Now, feel free to gorge on it all you want, BUT STOP PUSHING THE DRUG AS IF IT'S GOD'S GIFT TO YOUR OVERINFLATED BICEPS AND UNDERDEVELOPED CRITICAL SENSE!

...
I hate fitness freaks, their egos, and their tendency to justify abusing every goddamn crap in order to get more "volume".

Obviously you didn't. I mean, there's a limit of "several kilograms" to your theory.
And I'm sure most scientists tend to rate the "trip" factor.

But I would actually enjoy reading more on the subject, even though my limited comprehension will surely not permit me to grasp the full picture. At any rate, please do not hesitate to cite your sources. They don't have to be comprehensive, a few authors will suffice.

Update » Masa wrote on Fri Feb 29, 2008 @ 7:45pm
Wait, I just realized it's Friday night, so you don't have to give me the authors' names tonight. But I am starting Spring break, so I'll probably have time to look some of these articles up. If you could PM me with them, I'd be very happy! Thanks!
Update » Masa wrote on Fri Feb 29, 2008 @ 7:47pm
In the meantime, I'll go enjoy a few beers, some cigarettes (yes, I have an addiction to tobacco from starting smoking as an impressionable youth), and who knows, perhaps some drugs such as weed, all in moderation.

You, Mr. Horus sir, are sadly not a pariah (except maybe among us).

Nor are you, in my humble opinion, very "intelligent".

Just because only half of the people who ingest "several kilograms" of [obviously not pure enough] GHB die, you seem to think it's intelligent to tell them to consume as much of the stuff as they can.

I, for one, don't.

Update » Masa wrote on Fri Feb 29, 2008 @ 7:32pm
Oh, I apologize. 174 IQ means you're much more intelligent than I. Please educate me. EDUCATE ME NOW!

brilliance would be not to entice so many impressionable youths (such as us) to DRINK AS MUCH GHB AS YOU CAN, SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU SEEM TO THINK PURE GHB HAS NO THEORETICAL TOXICITY! Notwithstanding the fact that you don't quote sources, GHB found on the street is rarely of clinical purity, and most people won't be as "intelligent" as you and not consume GHB with some other form of stimulant/depressant (even alcohol, simply because most people tend to think legal = safe).

so again, keep drinking without moderation if you wish, BUT STOP TRYING TO PUSH AN UNSAFE BEHAVIOR ONTO OTHERS.

Also, as much as I dislike the politics behind pharmaceuticals I know for fact that the OTC products are quite harmless to people with no allergies. We spend years developping these products and are heavily regulated. Horus tells us that we use lotsa solvents, while that is true and highly poluting (something which is really pissing me off, but that's a whole other subject), there are no traces of the solvent once synthesis is achieved, we keep what we need from material and reject the rest, what goes in your pills has been through solvent and dried at very high temperatures to make sure the solvent evaporates, the vapors are filtered, the product is tested using chromatography to ensure there isn't any impurities or any residue from the orignal material or solvent... a pretty safe process if you ask me.

I could go on for days Horus, I have 8 years experience on the matter... next time you wanna look brilliant while talking out of your ass, make sure you know who you're dealing with.

You were still trying to decide which CEGEP to go to and I already knew all that, o little one. I am about a dozen light-years ahead of you yet your pride makes you think I'm behind you coz you fail to see what I talk about.

One day you will evolve a little, you will see a greater perspective, and realize, gee, it's true, alcohol and weed have LESS to do with the human body than GHB does.

Tell me what is the LD50 of Sodium Oxybate?

I actually would like to know that. However, I fail to see the point, as most deaths linked to GHB are due to suffocation on vomit, or interactions with other drugs. I'd like to paraphrase Dee on this one, no reason to put more in your system.

Now, please tell me how many "chemists" actually get their hands on sodium oxybate, and don't synthesize GHB from paint stripper...
