'sides, I take offense to that suggestion... took me a while to get a decent ratio on my main trackers (torrentleech/trancetraffic), but after a while it sort of manages itself. I mean, doesn't really matter anymore whether I share a torrent to 1:1, the ones I share less are offset by those I upload more, and even a dvd image leeched without seeding back doesn't put a dent on a 1+ TB upload ratio :) |

Flyer kids normally make 10$/hour and who knows how many hours they have to work to get 600 people to your event. Adding all this up (you can do the math I won't do it for you) I don't think there was a lot of money made. And if there was then good job because no one really likes to spend hundreds of hours working to make nothing. From what I can see the party was a success and in the future you won't see 10$ ticket prices, you will see 20$ and 30$ ticket prices. Not to mention clubbers are not cheap like ravers as they don't mind paying 20$-30$ for a quality event (and there is no doubt this one was). If it was my event I would have ended it at 6am also and not 9am cause after being up all night the last thing I'd like it to clean up and stuff until noon while super sleepy. Not fun... Forget about the 800$ I would have saved doing that also. Best assessment of throwing (insert semantics here) I've seen in a while. Thanks for the words of wisdom 'n experience, Noah :) |
