i kinda share this fear too, but then i understand that no human being is "normal" : i think that everybody has some mental issues wrt someone else, and that handicaps can become advantages (for example by compelling oneself to evolve in other ways and making them stronger from another point of view, or simply by highlighting a difference).

difference allows to be richer and more open ;
on an overall balance, mistakes and anomalies allow to get over other problems and evolve beyond normal limits.

in the end, i'm rather positively confident about the impact of the current drugged generations on mankind

In your case I would choose a Smart or a Renault Twingo :)
A Mini Cooper is about the same excepted it's less comfortable and you have to bend to fit inside if you're a little tall

well, i've had several bands for years, it's just a matter of well combinating communication and time investment.
the thing you can't really control is the inner vibe between each musician, and i think it's the most important criterion to select the musicians you want to keep in your band or not.

circle squared :
[ www-groups.dcs.st-and.ac.uk ]
[ en.wikipedia.org ]

the mystery around 7 has a religious part (god created eveything in 7 days), but its mathematical properties come from the fact it's prime. just like 3, which is also prime, and represents the biblibal trinity.
what you mean concerning the angles of a heptagon is probably that you can't really deal with them with only a plain ruler and a compass... but you can measure them in several ways, just like any simple geometrical shape.

i agree mysticism is appealing, but i think that it's a little dangerous to blindly believe things you can read on this topic... don't take so seriously such embroidered stories mixing science and logic with religion and beliefs

Update » flo wrote on Wed Apr 25, 2007 @ 12:07pm
no tool can "measure" infinite decimals... obviously, a protractor can't give a good enough precision for exact measures.

How about a heptagon? Since we can never verify the angles, does it exist?

the circle squared problem has been solved over a hundred years ago ; i guess you're refering to the problem of pi (that we still don't know how to represent it).

what exactly is your problem with a heptagon's angles ?

Fortunately enough you're not a scientist... at least, not a science-changing one.

If you live in a scientific bubble, if you see everything through a logical filter, then of course your universe is reduced to a set of equations because you're supposing it beforehand.
