lol, you said GaY

seriously : it depends whether it's (yz)^3, ie. (y^3 times z^3), or (y times z^3) ; i'll assume it's the first one (ie. the exponent is applied to both y and z)

note that you don't care about the base "a" of the log, since it's always the same.

then you just apply the logarithmic identities :

log(x^2 / (yz)^3) = log(x^2) - log((yz)^3)
= 2log(x) - log((yz)^3)
= 2log(x) - log(y^3 times z^3)
= 2log(x) - (log(y^3) + log(z^3))
= 2log(x) - 3log(y) - 3log(z)

Thus you get the initial equality rewritten as :
2log(x) - 3log(y) - 3log(z) = 2log(x) - 3log(y) + 3log(z)

which you easily simplify as :

-3log(z) = 3log(z)

which you can write :

-6log(z) = 0, ie. log(z)=0

So the answer is yes if and only if log(z)=0 : this can never happen, since logarithms (in any base) have an asymptote whose equation is "x=0", ie. the vertical axis. The asymptote means that it's a limit value that's never actually reached.

if it's not clear enough : the answer is NO

well i don't know much about non-french wines, but i've had some that i enjoyed ; the thing about french wine being so special comes from the way it's made, with many its rules and traditions... such good wines have an AOC label (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée, ie. "this wine is a genuine <what'swrittenonit>") and the green and white circle on the neck tip wrap reads "RÉCOLTANT", which means it's an identified house/castle whose people have bottled the wine themselves.
of course there's crappy french wine too... if you check for the AOC and "RECOLTANT" labels, and if you respect the aging and serving temperature, then you'll probably hardly ever get disappointed (provided you choose a cépage (grape strain) that you like)

et oui c'est le message en français sur paris, avec du vin, de l'absinthe, du pastis, etc... :P

computers have been designed according to the models of human brains that the psychologists developped, and mixed with some biology

(should i precise that they are just models and don't encompass all our brain abilities ?)

heheh it was an overgeneralization, i think we agree ;) no offense there to be taken by you !

i also agree that i can drink kronenbourg anytime, but you have to pay me to drink molson or labatt shits... i sometimes have a 2-liter bottle of black label 10% but it's just to get drunk, which has nothing to do with appreciating beer.

well Mico I think we're not talking about the same thing :) you're saying that there is more international beer in Paris than in Montreal ; then I agree

I was rather talking about beer on tap, and the general quality of beers : what you get in Montreal's local mico-breweries (sic) is far better than what you get in Paris (I've only found one bar brewing its own beer, which is very good, but it's an English pub). As for getting caramel beer or any other kind of locally brewed and delightfully flavored genuine beer, my heaven is at Dieu du Ciel!, l'Amer à boire, le Cheval Blanc, etc... I mean, that kind of bars :) (you don't find it in Paris, excepted the Enlish pub I mentioned)

Concerning the prices, I've been used to regular French prices, which are 2 or 3 times cheaper than in Paris ; so, to me, Paris is extremely expensive for alcohol, but I found out that Montreal, although it's way cheaper than France in general, is über-expensive too when it comes to alcohol (especially beer and wine), cheese, chocolate, and other delicacies ;) (anyways, it remains somehow cheaper than Paris for beer, in average).

PS : I've been to "beer stores", and I'd trade them anytime for Montreal's bars :) tap >> bottle, bar closing hours >> beer store closing hours

oh ok... :P
maybe the very north of France, Belgium, and Netherlands would satisfy my love for beer, but even Paris doesn't come close to Montreal in terms of good selection of beers... even when you find parisian bars offering over 200 beers, they're almost never served right... there's almost no local brewery in parisian bars, and that's what I love about Montreal :)

as for the price of beer... with 3$ in Paris you'll get at most half a pint of Kronenbourg in a happy hour of a cheap bar ; the regular price for the cheapest pint (i.e. Kronenbourg) in Paris would be about 5-6€ (or down to 4 in happy hours), which means 8-9$. In the rest of France it's like 3 times cheaper, anytime.

wtf do you have with heineken and kronenbourg ? they're like the cheap crappy beers we've got here, and you praise them like it's something delightfully fine... while you have some of the best beers in the world from Unibroue or bars like Dieu du Ciel!, Cheval Blanc, etc... and while we also have lots of beers way better than kronenbourg or heineken, and even some belgian beers ! damn...

Jason, à Paris, si tu cherches bien les gens, tu peux même réussir à te faire frapper :P
