I'll go to a metal show for any reason ! It's like Quebecer with booze for holidays. Although I don't like operatic/symphonic/folk but I don't know Gothic. For symphonic, I love classical (some Opera too) music but not blended in with metal. Vegannibal you'll become my muse if you mush, I'll even wipe your nose if it bleeds after. :D

My favorite is GRINDCORE !!! I also love Goregrind and Pornogrind. Recently there's a special place in my hearth for black metal, expecially since I heard Anaal Nathrakh (must hear Do Not Speak).

Anyone here want to hang with me at a metal show, I'll be more than happy, I'm already giddy at the prospect of going to a metal show !

Also I think I would've been just fine in a rave as I would've benefited anonymity but in the case I bolted out the room was 30' x 50' and there was no dark corner, there was NOWHERE to contemplate without gazing at the ceiling/wall/face and the only way I could avoid looking over and over at people's faces was to stair at a wall ; not fun AT ALL !

Thank you for your advice Betty_Haze but even if someone don't care, they'll notice if the person keep looking around, as the room is small, and look at you. And I was at the bar and had a couple drinks like my original post noted.

Hello and sorry for crashing the party as it seem the latest posts were about joyful topics, hopefully I won't get too much negative replies ...

First of all, I've always been socially awkward, it seems everyone but me seems to say the right thing at the right time, the few acquaintances I have are like me in that sense so we get along but they seem as inept as me socially. Here's the problem : I've always went to shows with someone close that live far away and only like one genre of music thus I'm alone if I want to event playing EBM, aggrotech, dubstep, drum & bass, etc. Actually I've only been to one event featuring such a genre and the night seemed young and some where dancing but it wasn't my style so I though I'd go in a dark corner to hide and just chill until I wanted to dance but although it hasn't well well lit everyone could see others faces so unless I fixed a wall or something I was bound to looked at people and being alone I was very awkward so I finished the couple drinks I order and bolted out even though a DJ I really liked was just an hour or two away ... I was too nervous and humiliated. :(

Now I'm going to a bigger event so hopefully there won't only be 30 people in the room so my lonely face won't be as much recurring and hopefully I can just blend in, or at least not stick out. I don't know what I'll do if the same situation repeat itself, this time it will take me much more time to go and the cost won't be so inconsiderable. I never had ease at chit chat and, obviously, have some self-esteem issues.

I'd like to add I killed dozens of animals that I ate and because of my consumption hundreds of animals were killed because of me and I feel NOT A SINGLE DROP of remorse, if those creatures were in our place they'd do it just as bad to us.
