Nah sorry, we've already ditched all the tickets at Psychonaut and we've got too many things to do with upgrading this event into a larger one to be able to sort that stuff out.

Nah, of course not. It made me cry to turn away people at Hard As Fuck 3 when we hit capacity at like 11pm. I'd never do it just because someone wasn't dressed a certain way.

Okay, so since we've been the ones who have been doing the whole dress code thing the most, I figured I'd give a little explanation. You're right to say that raves are about individuality and creativity but I have found that with the 'mainstreaming' of rave, there's also a large amount of distain that's come to people who dress up for events.

We create themes and push a certain style of dress to encourage people to let their creativity flow, we're pushing the candy theme at Rave Wars because we want people, jaded or not, candy raver or not, to pull their old funfur out of the closet for a night and let it rip. We've found that people have had a really fun time thinking up creative ways to show themselves off - moreso than if not asked to do anything at all.

The goal of our events is to evoke the mental atmosphere of oldschool rave where every event was special and every person was a star. We try to differentiate each event from the other so you never feel like one of our parties is going to be 'just another rave'. The truth of the matter is that a rave is just sound in a place, and that's all it ever will be. Without the people coming out and participating, a rave is nothing. And since somewhere around 2000 it became cool not to participate any more, we're doing our best to encourage everyone to get back into it and participate in any way possible. Whether it be by thinking up the best costume matching the dress code or saying "fuck that! I'm going to Rave Wars as the ultimate graver!" It doesn't matter. So long as you get into the spirit of fun and madness that we're trying to create, that's all that matters.

This sounds really wicked. I'd drop by after Rave Wars and check it out if it wasn't like a bajillion dollars to go :-( But I guess the pricetag keeps rif raf from getting in

Okay, so the plan was to have a small 200 person party with a gay theme and tons of happy hardcore.

Well that plan is officially shot, since we've already sold 200 tickets and there's still a ton of people freaking out for more :-p So because of the demand, we've gone out and secured a venue that's twice as large, and we'll be matching the sound / lights / decor with the new size of the event, making Rave Wars exactly 5 billion times better than it was before!!!

We've dropped off another batch of tickets at Psychonaut, we'd still definately recommend you go and buy your ticket in advance to make sure you get in. People from QC City pplease email me so I can have you on the list at the door. And don't forget to dress up in your best kandy!!!!

Just to clarify, you CAN'T buy rave wars tickets over the net. They're only in stores, and there's only a few left. Those who really wanna go will make the effort to walk the two blocks from Sherbrooke station to get them :)
