with that said, it sucks to have been "cut short" or completly bumped out of the line-up, but when a Dj says "sure, i'll play at that time" and expects promotors to warp there whole line-up 1 week, JESUS, 1 week.. not 1 month, 7 days before a party is totaly rediculis.. if a dj tells me "vinny bro, something came up and i can't make my set", i would either respond, contact the other dj's and check to see for a switch or find a replacement for your set" !!

Adding the amount you paid for CD's before hand to justify payment is totally irrelevant seeing as you didn't leave all those CD's at the party when you left.

Just reading your reply makes me wounder what you must have been asking Ray durring his live set.. i have this funny feeling Bonnie's side is more credible.

Some advise is to not take yourself so seriously man, especially in a scene so small. You should also refrain from saying that other dj's are disrespectful for charging to play, despit the fact that YOU feel they can't mix well. I really hope you aren't talking about Manu from Gatineau !!

Yeah, you got fucked a little in the situation there's no doubt, but i feel its more your fault than anyone else's...

but they went WELL over the capacity limit like two weekends in a row after been warned the first weekend !

The police, before everything, are there for our protection.. yeah, i wanted to punch them in the face when they closed the party this weekend because i was just starting to really have a blast... But that doesn't change the fact that, as mentionned above, the venue might not have been ideal for 300 people dancing.. I saw multiple people fall over on those stairs (getting there hands orange in paint at the same time), there was some places on top of the ramp that were loose, meaning someone could have fell through if they weighted enough, the sound was loud and they were getting complaints from the neighbours (as per the officer i spoke with) ..

It is the same deal with the party last week that didn't happen.. the venue was not "secure" according to police regulation, resulting in a bust.. Yeah, you can blame it on the "gay nightclubs" (as mentionned above), but all they did was point out the fact that the place isn't legal and eventually, someone might get hurt.

Aa much as we hate those nightclubs, they are the only "legal" venue's around that offer 100% stability as a party location.

The choice is obvious, no ?? risk Vs no risk !!!

Besides the bust, thierry's set fucken kicked ass .. electro-house style all the way.. some really fun tracks that made me dance.. it was by far the best beats of the night.. Sarcastic and Rys' came in second to my tastes and definatly rocked it harder than the T-man.. Drixel's set was fun too for what i heard.. it was wierd hearing DnB both up and downstairs at the same time... he he he..

i'm really sad about the bust and i was pissed at the pigs for the rest of the night..
