they go hand and hand -- who goes through with their ideas for products like that?! Then, again there is a market for males who enjoy wearing undies that typically look like girl underwear.

I read a similar article yesterday. The article caught my eye because I was convinced that violence leads to more violence and sure enough it did.

The thing that many people don't realize is that Bush is just as much of a terrorist. Of course, people are against private interests-- it fucks some over while it benefits others and it's always shittier when you are on the "have-not" side.

we're heading in that direction-- not irreversibly however. you know what makes me sick-- we do things and we have the information that those things are not good for the whole planet/species. We, also, do things not knowing what they will bring -- how impetuous/risky/foolish even.
And then problems arise and scientist in this life or any other for that matter do not know everything/cannot solve everything.

yeah probably could. ^^

I'd rather have a president who fucked around with some female than a man who does the same thing we have done in the past (war) and expecting different results. Violence just brings more violence, inless you learn from it.

glad to hear it dudette! Glad you met supportive people, while you were making the less-drug transition in your life. As you said in the other forum, in my own words, you have to quit drugs for your SELF and it sounds like that is what you cut down for.

I'll take that as a compliment. Are you trying to say that if my dance moves weren't so hot you would be more inclined to have refused?!
I'm going to get together with that girl I was dancing with and another girl that was there to work on making choreographies. Dancing is one of my preferred arts of self-expression. I've come a long way with practiving and the best part is I wasn't on drugs!! YEAH!!
Thank you for the compliment assuming it was a compliment.
I enjoyed your set.

My teacher would argue and many people have come to think that thoughts proceed feelings.

In regards to the sitting on the grass story and brick hits chest everytime one takes drugs-- Perhaps, you have a belief and have come to associate you tripping with pain and you psyche expresses it that way. Or perhaps in objective reality you know drugs essentially harm you and your psyche once again is displaying it to you, with the help of drugs as a symbol.
Can the drug cause a particular physical effect, independent of thoughts, due to the meshing of the chemical with your brain? I think it's possible. But I am not sure if your story falls in that category.

can you not say that music can triggure a memory in your mind or that the opposite can occur?
What do you mean, it is all circumstantial -- that sounded like some shit some intellectual would say to intimidate the likes of people like me.
What do you mean by no real connection -- I'm interested. i have an idea of what you mean.. I know what I would mean if I said that -- but I am not the one to have said it.

HOw does music interact with memories...

well for one, a song can triggure a memory. A memory may triggure the remmberence of a song. A song can triggure a painful memory causing you to confront it or to want to escape from it.

Music can be used to heal grief, when it allows a person to confront a memory, feeling that needs to be acknowledged, validated for it not to be so painful. Music can heal grief, when it touches us in a certain way so that's it's like: I am not the only one who feels this way-- it's true.

Some questions I would like to discuss with you about music. I took these questions from some website that I don't remember now, unfortunately.

Music's impact on you......

What factors influence the response?
How does music interact with memories?
How does music interact with existential meanings?
How can music be used to heal grief?
How can music be used to find hope?
What principles and techniques for using music
to foster empowerment, versus manipulation?

In other words, god/allah's supposed omniscience, which I don't doubt is true. My/our god is nameless as we have not agreed on one name to designate that power,w hich is in practice and not just theory, above everyone.

I'm all for sharing views, in general. how else are we ever supposed to come to a consensus!

excuse me while I applaud my own comment *applaud*. *bows*.

Now, to those who make it sound as though just because they have no experience of death (dying themselves). Maybe, you don't neccessarily need to die to figure out what happens after and during death. You don't need to kill to figure that killing is not right, do you?

well I hope that with there ban of narciddos (songs that glorify drugs/crime) and there proliferation of songs with positive messages.. I hope that they aren't avoiding talking about the "good and the bad". It's one thing to feed people songs that glorify crime-- but it's another thing to be feeding people songs that are all about a couple falling in love. There both romantic in a sense.

it truly is pathedic. The media *ought* to act more responsibly. Because lots of people read the paper and lots of people make decisions in a hurry and when they do they rely on *authorities to tell them what's up.
Also, People need to learn to think more critically, autonomously... or else they may come to assume that lan games lead directly to violence just by looking at an article like the one ^ that was mentioned.
