Host: A real store bought cd or even if I burn tracks.. theyre in 16 bit .wav format.. NOT.mp3. The quality lost in mp3 is monumental.. as someone posted before.. even in 320kbs your losing over 3/4 of the origional information.. dont try and tell me that doesnt translate on the big system. I feel it in my bones every time a dj drops an mp3 let alone the ears, not to mention all the other victims on the dancefloor. The best I've heard is 320 vbr... and even then, your not getting the full impact. Mp3s are fine for pamper practise, but even to learn proper eqing.. I wouldnt advise it.

Clown.. damn straight.

Update » Br34th3 wrote on Tue Aug 21, 2007 @ 5:35pm
p.s. just re-reading Clowns post, I dont really care where the music comes from store bought, downloaded traded, homemade etc..if your gonna call yourself a dj and get up there and rock out for a massive.. respect the sound quality. I wouldnt even play out an Mp3 purchased on Beatport. I shell out the xtra buck and buy the .wav.. theres a reason its a dollar more. hows quality sound?.

Although I can appreciate the tone of vinyl, I'll always dig an origional cd. Better yet a nice live set in 24 bit :P .. mp3's are for broke ass puddles of trampled poon slop posing as dj's.

whats your adress?... I wanna send you a "get well soon" card. .. seriously, If your not going to take crit from anyone or answer any valid questions.. why do you keep posting your music? I think its rather safe to say noone here likes what you do, but would be more than willing to give you a hand if you were the least bit inquisitive. I might be inclined to appreciate what you do artistically if I knew you were doing this via choice, fact remains I think its because you cant do any better. If this is the case, you should probably be asking questions atleast doing your homework and improving... not shoving countless distasteful tidbits that you dare call music in our faces accompanied by a subnatural careless attitude. Ride.. or get OFF the bus nukz. -K

Depends what I'm doing. Most of the time I'll use the TC Bundle sidechain/compressor deesser. If for some reason its not giving me what I want, I use the method youve posted above with a source channel and a Voxengo Crunchessor.. between the two methods I get the job done.

Host'n D-funk -- I was just trying to see if theres any humanity left in the guy.. so considering his response or lack of for that matter.. I'm back on the "this is HORSE SHIT" wagon. I'm really having a hard time conceptualising the monumental waste of time this is for everyone involved. Milas isnt really learning anything.. nor responding to anything of substance. Its quite beyond me that this has gone on for so long, I mean usually at this point someones either got their face smashed in or weve all gone for a beer and are trying to help milas sort his music like proper gentlemen etc.. but its all a waste of time for everyone involved.. whos getting anything out of this?.. whats the point?.. n-e ways .. Im out, got some beats to make.. good luck yall.

p.s. neuro.. your wrong.

I had an awesome time and really wish I could have stayed longer. In another way I'm kinda glad I missed the mud, without a tent and proper change of clothes I can easily see how it all could have transpired somewhat nightmarishly... Although I must admit it looked like fun based on the pics posted... Next time I'll try to come better prepared for a good'ol romp around in the mud with the tribe.
Props to Tech Safari for pulling it off once again like pros, and props to all the local and international artists and dj's who put it all on the line time and time again so everyone could have a good time, that is TRUELY what its all about. The time and effort put into such performances is simply unbelievable all round be it promoter, vj, dj or live act, its always an awesome sight to see hundreds if not thousands of people gettin' down to it all with huge smiles on their faces dancing like theres no tomorrow. There was a simply amazing crossection of styles all night that really made the whole experience much more fullfilling. I discovered all sorts of new music, some stuff I like more than others but overall its something inspiring that doesnt usually happen in these sorts of events and I must give a huge kudos the Tech Safari crew for putting it together in such a way and I honestly hope this will be the future trend.
Big thanks to Dj Horizon for saving our asses in a monumental way. For some reason Ableton wouldnt detect our soundcard last minute and Greg in true gentlemanly fashion was kind enough to extend his dj set by 3 tracks, the time it took to sort our issues... we owe you one, here here!
Its always a trip to hook up with old friends and make new ones at Eclipse, although it happens all year round in everyday life, this particular festival seems to have a major catalystic effect I really appreciate on many levels and this year was no exception. SO on that note, big hugz to one and all, and once again, BIG PROPS and long live Tech Safari! peace -K

very sweet track scotty.. what would you say to pushing out the percs particularly the snare in the latter segments of the mix to give it a more dry rolling up front edge instead of always supporting and lingering behind the twisted bass sound, whats there works really well for the intro feel but I think it would be a simply smashing variation.. or perhaps vice versa pushing the twisted bass back to where the percs roll to give it a haunting distant dark side feel... either way.. here here! cheers old boy! :P

p.s Milas, go fuck yourself.
