I just listened to the whole mix and cant find anything remotely "psytrance" about it.. influence or otherwise... whoever coined that term clearly has no goddamn clue what their talking about. Ill vouch for a slightly 70's style psychedelic atmosphere with all the reverbs and delays.. but thats got sweet fuckall to do with psytrance. I like the music for what it is though.

fuck 1 milk 2 sugars. yes they're cheap but you get what you pay for. They've fucked us up 3 times so far by either missing deadlines or with badly off centered printing.. I've had $30 dollar tickets come back as $3 tickets cuz they cut the zero off regardless of the bleed and noone on their staff noticed. The last fuckup was just recently..zero call backs after talking to their secretary and leaving messages. Hell, we even got the managers and owners cell number and again nothing...WE STILL DON'T HAVE OUR FLYERS and its been 2 weeks! Ive talked to numerous promoters about this and was shocked to learn many have had the same issues. The only thing these guys are decent for is business cards.. nothing more.

The best service Ive had by far is Rythme Urbaine... never fucked up once .. 3 day turnover, always call when they're not sure about something, competant/able staff... and they deliver! I consider the tiny bit extra it costs an investment towards my peace of mind. [ www.rythmeurbain.com ]

Ive also heard good things about Empire but Ive never used them .. also I'm not sure that their colours are all that amazing.

man, Rythm Urbain even called us once because they wanted to know if it was ok if they resize our flyers a tiny bit considering the exact cardstock thickness down to the nanometer so that once folded in 3 all the folds would be dead on and corners would line up perfectly... doesnt get any better than that friends.

I'm with Zed on this one.. I've noticed trying to help people that aren't necessarily asking for it yet clearly need it just makes them feel worse about themselves and thus their situation degenerates even further... its kind of a catch 22 because you feel helpless maybe even like a bit of a failure not having an effect despite your greatest most sincere efforts.. Most of the time these people will take you down with them if your not careful... not on purpose mind you, but via the same negligence that got them where they are in the first place. Sometimes its simply our good nature and presence that enables them to fall into such precarious situations in the first place not to mention our own ego that drives the desire to witness the healing first hand. if your bringing him for a booking just get him to tell customs that hes coming for a small vacation with friends.. or if his return ticket is for too short a stay all he has to do is tell them he was invited to a special event as label promotion and no salary will be awarded. If he actually needs a VISA supplemented passport coming from Russia as a simple vacationer all a promoter should have to do is fax him an official signed friendship invitation from a certified canadian registered fax machine for him to show his consulate... this process takes 4-6 weeks. its really not that big a deal.. just be organised.
