yeah, La Haine was really good! i was in Paris last summer and apparently the film is bang on - all the violence occurs in the suburbs around Paris. pretty crazy stuff!

i forgot one of my favorite scenes: the end of Trainspotting in the bar when Begbie accidentaly stabs Spud and after Renton and Begbie are having a cig toether and Begbie blows a cloud of smoke into Renton's face and "Born Slippy" comes on... good stuff


and Ian - yeah i love the 10 minute shoot out in Heat! i find the end is better though - having Pacino and DeNiro hunt each other is AWESOME@!

it's kinda hard to lump all europe toegther though... you can't say that people in Spain have the same attitudes as those in Italy or Poland or Romania or the Uk, etc...
