I have no problem with those trying to help our cause, but criticizing what we write without offering any constructivism at all is useless. I'd rather not hear what parts of my email he doesn't like if he's not even going to bother telling me why he doesn't like/agree with it.
And with all due respect, I really can't say that I trust his understanding of the english language well enough to take his criticism with anything more than a grain of salt. Maybe he didn't like my sentence because he doesn't understand it. Then again, I suppose the city officials wouldn't understand it either in that case.
