I went to my first EVER pill party alone. It was one of the most marking parties I've ever attended (right behind Samadhi) and I loved it. I made friends at the party that I haven't seen since. The memories are mine and mine alone because I remember that party through my individual perspective. I do think raves are individualistic in the sense that you can be true to yourself, but when you get comfortable, you can share yourself with others (dirty mind!) and enjoy the experience twice or three times as much.
Of course the party HAS to have people in it for it to be a party; dancing to loud music in my room just isn't the same. And then there's costs and ressources.

Raves as a metaphor:
Aren't we all trying to find our spot on the dancefloor? Where those around us compliment our presence and complete our hypothetical 'dance floor territory'. Isn't that place even better with friends and relatives because we can relate to the experience? Everyone wants to know that someone else likes what they like.

As much as people like to say that they are original and don't follow trends, if EVERYONE disagreed with them, they'd end up changing a little bit; the perfect example is reformed criminals. It's like the expression: Go along to get along.

I did that for 4 years once... I started with a Nomad 5gb and ended up with a Creative Nomad Zen 20gb... having an rca model in between. When they gave me the Zen, they extended my warranty by three years. Then it got stolen so I bought an iPod. Recently is stopped working so I called apple and they fixed it for free even though it was 1 year after the warranty ended. Bwahahaha
