Specifically to Betty: i'm not depressed and I wish no harm on anyone, I'm actually one of the biggest well wishers you might ever meet, I have an extremely optimistic point of view and can almost be consider a tree hugging hippy. My evil side is very tame and never surfaces... but destroying the earth (me included) wouldn't be to kill, even thought it would achieve that. I'd do it just because... well it's the BIGGEST thing anyone could ever do. It's unthinkable and likely impossible.. so it's appealing :P

The hole in the ozone layer, as far as I understood from the An Inconvenient Truth movie, is all but closed, so no longer an issue. But that never affected the heat of the earth as ultraviolet don't create heat, the other side of the spectrum does. Also, light getting through the atmosphere has never been a problem, glocal warming is caused by that same light being prevented from leaving the atmosphere due to the widening atmospheric layers.

I say physically widening to explain the actually physical width of the atmosphere.. you could say that the radius of the earth, if you include the atmosphere, is larger than it used to be. Imagine a beer with a lot of head and one without, well the earth resembles the beer with a lot of head more now...

it's a personal thing, like your cousin (i did read your post, but responding would have been suicide considering how long it would have been) I believe I am nothing unless I contribute to society and raise a strong moraled individual. but that's a personal goal I feel I can achieve... so I choose it for myself. Everyone has differing views though of course. Although this whole thread is half a joke, I am also half serious and it is meant purely as arguments to convince others to procreate... arguments, in order to be persuasive must be direct and extreme, sometimes.
