Raves are amazing and I definitely keep the PLUR alive in myself and for everyone around me... but a rave is a party, life is not a party :) you know?
I like that you compared trying to explain being on ACID to trying to explain PLUR, they are similar in the way that I believe we all need to stop doing acid and partying someday, and concentrate on life... our family, our friends.

Everyone on this board should have a DATE/TIME/EVENT in mind of when they want to get serious, stop drugs, and start a real. sober. life. That's just my opinion though.

Exactly... and it's this that causes all the trouble...but if you can't explain yourself, you're lost in our society. Today I feel crazy and I am having a real hard time writting stuff without thinking "shit... do I even agree with myself? These words could be taken so many ways..."
This changes the topic completely... but.... I know what you mean about words... It's the most important form of communication and yet it's so imprecise, I often have people misunderstand me BADLY and then when I try to explain myself it just gets worse. It's NOT because I mean anyone harm or because I'm a bad person, it's because the words I use are SO ambiguous and I can say "I love you" but a girl who thinks that I think love means sex, will think that I just want sex, even though I said "I love you". oh boy this is hard to describe :P

It's stupid for me to say this, after saying that it's impossible almost to understand anyone, but I DO understand exactly what you mean about words, and prolly even what you guys think PLUR is. Just, don't base your life on it, there are much much more important things that need to be understood first :)

Go talk to one of your friends about PLUR, someone who thinks it exists... and see if you guys ACTUALLY agree with each other. I would go as far to say that you're gonna end up a bit depressed cause you're going to realize that PLUR only exists as long as people shut their mouths... because no one agrees exactly what it is and how it works. You're gonna think the other person is crazy and end up questioning yourself.... or maybe you'll agree and have something concrete to add to the thread.

For example, I was kinda getting to know this girl, and without talking to her for three days, she sends me a txt messages saying "You're not my type." and this is THREE days without talking to or seeing her... so I'm thinking, this is fucked up. I wonder what made her send me something out of NOWHERE and obviously meant to be insulting. Turns out she decided with friends that she doesn't like me...

I have to say that that's one way of looking at raves that very few people share... although, as I mentioned before, when you stick with your group of friends, it's the only perspective you get. I've met many different types of ravers though and I know that most of them don't go for those reasons.
Of course, everyone has a different reason really. There's no real unity at all, in any scene, as no one's view can be exactly the same. I mean, you can all agree that raves are fun, but not why it's fun.
Also, the vibe is not a thing, and as such, it is not 'real', or again, it's as 'real' as love is 'real'. Everyone one feels a different vibe, some good some bad. But there's nothing special in the air that makes everyone feel the same thing. A vibe is an opinion, nothing more.

and pardon me for being 'deep' though, but NOTHING at a rave will help your life progress (unless you DJ successfuly). In fact, raves a steps backward, you kill braincells and you FORGET half the shit you did to enjoy yourself in the first place. You want real happyness? You gotta WORK and be SATISFIED with the job you've done. If you don't earn it, you'll never actually feel good about it.
