Well this game exists already but it was in the wrong section and the mods did nothing, so I'm putting it in it's right place once and for all, the easy way. I think the OS won't be too too open, that would let people write programs that could circumvent CIngular, and Cingular wouldn't let that happen. Someone mentioned loading skype on it, that would defeat the purpose of the device. Apple could cripple any extra products with a simple mandatory software update if they wanted to.
But Cingular would LOVE to license their Edge technology, why would a business refuse to make money off their invention, it doesn't make any sense. I would bet they would be happy to license it into the states as well after maybe 2 years. But Apple is free to do what they want out of the states, otherwise they wouldn't have signed the contract. I think Canada will get the phone no more than a month after the states do.
