I'll give you a wholly unrighteous answer to help you understand. There is joy and there is pain: joy is better than pain. But what most people won't admit to themselves is that in the long term, pain is better than nothing at all. We are beings addicted to feeling, to experiencing and having opinions. We would rather love or hate something than be indifferent to it. The expression 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all' proves that people either say good shit or bad shit, rarely true shit, cause true shit is obvious, boring, uninteresting.
Ever heard of insult comics? Ever seen a sitcom? They are full of 'making fun' of people and situations, the situational insults could be offensive if you like those sorts of situations; whereas personal insults are funny, to everyone except the person being insulted. Ever seen South Park? They killed Kenny every single episode for a while, that alone proves my point.

Anyway, coming up with a clever insult that is half true is in fact entertaining. No it's not nice, but you learn IN HIGH SCHOOL that words are BS and that only sticks and stones and gun break bones, not words. Words can be hurtful but you need to have a firewall in place because you never know when some drunk asshole is going to divulge a personal secret or attack your 'faiblesse'. I feel kinda bad for being that person, but all in all it's no big deal. I apologized to the person I hurt, whether they forgave me or not.

I don't take offense on this site, because I dish it out sometimes and I mean about 1% of it. So in that respect I take very little on these boards seriously. The truth is that I reeaaallly didn't have anything better to do... I did not mean to hurt anyone, although that may have been the outcome. I come here for the jokes, the drama and everything in between, and although I do think this is a good place to ask serious questions, it is most definitely not the best place to get serious answers, in any good ratio anyway. If that were true, there would be so many fewer people actually reading these threads... Look at the number of replys to serious threads and then look at the number of replies to threads with trash talk, and you will understand better why some of us talk the way we do...

I use to be ultra positive, but there's no fun in that... I mean no disrespect though, it's not like my opinion matters anyway, sheesh

I was harsh; I think I just grew an appreciation for stirring shit up round here

it's so easy to twist words to make them mean what you want. I never saw my track descriptions as gloating, but simply as a way to build an interest, maybe I went about it wrong (and I realize how out of date those descriptions are considering all my progress)

but all in all, talking/convincing/insulting/criticism
it's what separates us from the animals, I guess I just believe in expression no matter the form.
