my only argument against friday night is that people who work regular hours need to unwind friday night... generally when you wake up at 8am on Friday, staying out till 8am on Saturday morning takes a lot of 'energy' or, ahem, 'energy'.
whereas saturday, you've had a day off already and probably slept in.
the good thing about friday is that as people said, you have time to properly recover from the 'energy' spent.

and I also agree that the crowd that go to bal en blanc are typical independant from the crowd that go to Rewire, but I'm sure there's plenty of overlap with people that don't surf this site.
